At no government expense, the beautiful monument was placed in the Rotunda of the Alabama State Supreme Court Building. On November 18, 2002, a federal judge in Montgomery, Alabama, Myron Thompson, ruled that the monument must be removed in thirty days. On December 16, 2002, two days before the deadline for removal, AVIDD (American Veterans In Domestic Defense) rallied on the steps of the Alabama Capital, in support of Judge Moore. On December 18th, a stay of the order was granted, pending an appeal to the 11th District Court in Atlanta, Georgia. On June 4, 2003, a three judge panel heard arguments on the case and on July 1, 2003 they ruled unanimously against Judge Moore. They said, "The monument must be removed."Because of this egregious ruling, a high profile rally has been scheduledfor 10 a.m. Saturday August 16, 2003 on the steps of the Alabama State Supreme Court Building in Montgomery, the state capitol. Dr. Rick Scarborough and Dr. Laurence White, co-founders of Vision America, lead this event, with the full support of our veterans. The theme is ONE NATION UNDER GOD IN SUPPORT OF JUDGE ROY MOORE AND THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.AVIDD, American Veterans, along with pastors and their congregations, and a coalition of many other patriotic and Christian organizations are calling for all concerned Americans who believe "Enough IS Enough" to stand up and be counted and be heard with us on August 16th in Montgomery.Judge Roy Moore is a West Point graduate and veteran, who is standing firm on his oath of office to uphold our Constitution. He is a proven biblical and constitutional scholar and deserves every American's commitment and full support.Four Star Marine General, Raymond G. Davis, America's most decorated Veteran, along with other veteran and spiritual leaders is scheduled to speak at this rally. For more information contact the AVIDD office, Jim Cabaniss, President at 281-591-4705 or Vision America 21 at 877-922-5582. __________________________________________________The oath of office taken by United States Army officers includes the words:“I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,... SO HELP ME GOD.” That Constitution includes the 5th and 10th Amendments in the Bill of Rights, whose due process and states' rights provisions, respectively, are sufficientto have prevented the abominations of Roe v. Wade (abortion) in 1973, andLawrence v. Texas (sodomy) in 2003. Our Constitution is being shredded byDOMESTIC enemies. It is time for Christian men, patriots, and veterans torise to DEFEND THE OATH.Steve LefemineUSMA '77FA USA 1977-1982 (CPT)FA USAR 1982-1993 (MAJ)Columbia Christians For Life CCFL@sc-online.net ------------------------------------------------THE KINGDOM BASIC LAW: Basic Law: General Provisions Article 81:The implementation of this law shall not violate the treaties and agreements the Kingdom has signed with other countries or with international organizations and institutions.Article 82:Without prejudice to the provisions of article 7 of this law, none of the provisions of this law shall, in any way, be obstructed unless it is a temporary measure taken during the time of war or in a state of emergency as specified by the law.Article 83:No amendments to this law shall be made except in the same manner in which it has been issued. http://www.saudinf.com/main/c541k.htm No god eauxx, Sun Aug 3 08:10
