First, there was an error in 'translation' -- this was not from the Institute for Policy Studies. It came from the Center for Responsive Politics.

Second, don't be so mistaken about communist long-term aims. They were never actually anti-capitalist. After all, they were funded by capitalists and kept going by them through transfers of money and technology for years.

The real goal of communism was to wipe out all the middle-class, the "bourgeoisie". In the French Revolution, it was primarily the independent farmer. In Russia, it was the Tsar and all things Orthodox.

The end result is intended to be nothing more than a small tier of elite bankers, corporatists, and their apparatchiks with their own peculiar "religion". (Note, communists have always known that religion was important, and never were "atheist" in that regard. They just wanted to control the form it took.)
