The Diamond Racket

Jewish control of the world diamond market, starting with
the De Beers monopoly of South Africa, has long been
common knowledge to all those familiar with the trade.
Because the syndicate is supplying fewer raw diamonds
than Israeli merchants have demanded, the latter will now
be turning to other sourcesprobably including so-called
"blood diamonds" from Africato satisfy their voracious
appetite. Here is the latest insider information from those
plying this lucrative trade, which has been a source of
enormous wealth for international Zionist schemes and
enterprises.

Israeli diamond cutters to expand
direct imports of raw diamonds
De Beers is allocating fewer diamonds to Israel.
Israel Diamond Exchange president Shmuel Schnitzer:
Direct diamond imports will total hundreds of millions of dollars.

TEL AVIVSources inform ³Globes² that Israel Diamond Exchange
management yesterday made an immediate and urgent decision
yesterday to conduct negotiations for importing diamonds into Israel,
through channels other than the De Beers diamond syndicate and
brokers.

Israel Diamond Exchange president Shmuel Schnitzer yesterday
confirmed the plan to ³Globes², saying, ³The De Beers syndicate
supplies Israeli diamond merchants with just over 20% of the raw
diamonds they need. Diamond Exchange management has therefore
decided to find additional sources to supply raw diamonds.²

Diamonds imported directly to Israel will cost much less than those
bought through brokers, who are needed because of the low quotas
assigned by the syndicate.

Schnitzer predicted that the volume of raw diamond reaching Israel
through channels other than the syndicate would amount to several
hundred million dollars annually.

De Beers currently controls 55% of the world¹s raw diamonds,
amounting to $3-4 billion per year, of which $1 billion is supplied
to Israel.

Diamond origin 'can be determined'
Belgian scientists have found a way of determining the origin of individual diamonds, according to the Diamond High Council of Antwerp.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/3096515.stm

The body which controls trade in diamonds says the discovery could help the worldwide campaign to stop the illegal sale of diamonds from war zones, a trade which has helped finance several African civil wars.

The researchers have found they could gain a unique chemical image of each diamond, by drilling a tiny hole in it with a laser beam.

This would help them identify the mine from which it came because each precious stone has a chemical composition specific to an individual mine.

But the diamond body said the scientists would first have to build a global picture of all existing mines - a process that could take years.

Early stages

Corinna Gilfillen from the campaign group, Global Witness, said the new process could prove an important tool in stopping the trade in conflict diamonds.

"We're encouraged to see this kind of research, and though there's nothing solid yet, it could have positive implications and could be a useful tool in tracking the origin of conflict stones," she said.

"However, our priority remains the active implementation of the Kimberley Process system of certification, which will happen on 31 July. It is the best possible programme monitoring the import and export of diamonds," she added.

Chris Welbourn, Head of Physics at the world's biggest diamond miner, De Beers, said the research is promising, but "at a very early stage."

"We supplied some of the samples for preliminary research, but the jury is still out on whether the process represents a viable technique," he said.

Mr Welbourn added that diamonds from conflict countries are often "alluvial" - meaning they can be washed downstream thousands of miles from their original location over time.

As such, there could be arguments over where diamonds are procured, even if the technology works, he said.
