Dear Patriotic American;

The Independent American Party is continuing to sponsor legislation to address problems in our nation. The latest bill developed for Congress will rescind the USA PATRIOT Act that threatens basic Freedoms covered by the Bill of Rights. We are providing a sample copy of the Bill as an attachment.

The American Patriot Friends Network has an interest and history of promoting a Moral climate in our nation and of sponsoring Freedom activities. We ask you to join with the Independent American Party and many other organizations and communities in supporting the Bill to rescind the USA PATRIOT Act. There are over 250 cities and counties that have passed or are considering resolutions protesting the USA PATRIOT Act.

Specifically we ask you and your members to do the following:

Write your Congressional Representatives, both House and Senate, to ask them to cosponsor and support this legislation. Send them the Sample Bill.

2. If your city has not passed a resolution protesting the USA PATRIOT Act, urge your city leaders to pass this resolution. Sample resolutions are found at the Bill of Rights Defense at http://www.bordc.org/indes.html 

Urge members of your organization to have this resolution sponsored in their cities.

3. Send this message to your email group urging them to participate.

4. Contact your State Legislators so that a state resolution may be passed. Three states have passed resolutions and three additional are considering passage.

5. If our Platform corresponds with your political beliefs, we ask you to help us gain strength in the area of the country covered by your organization. We have several requests that are specific to your state that will help in the promotion of Freedom in our Land. Feel free to e-mail, call, or write us for details. There is a ground swell of protest against this attack on basic American Freedoms. Please use your influence to help stop the loss of our traditional liberties. Contact the Independent American Party for the latest information and activities designed to save our Freedom.

Patriot Bill Rescission Act of 2003

The Legislative Development Committee of the Independent American Party has drafted a "Patriot Act Rescission Bill of 2003" and mailed it to a number of members of Congress.
