She said she had moved away to northern California and has been back just 2 months, and she's worried sick that someone's going to turn her in for the questions she's been asking about the base, particularly the SWEF (Nemesis) Building that's operated by the Navy and the DoD which we used to eagle eye when it was making so many residents very sick. "I hope this gets to you, I've been trying to find you for years. I fled the beach and headed for the hills, but I moved back to the same street and many of the people from back then are still there and one of them, a retired military guy, told me I'd better stop asking questions or I'd be turned in to Eagle Eyes. Eagle Eyes? That's original. You know you'd be the same way if you returned, you'd ask old friends and maybe complete strangers about that evil facility and the testing on civilians. I found that a lot of people I wanted to talk to are dead. Did you know that? We were lucky to escape with our lives!!! In case you're wondering how I got your email, I ran into one of your sons and he gave it to me. My health still suffers, how about yours? Anyway back to this Eagle Eyes thing, the Air Force and the DoD have this program that enlists people, civilians even, to turn in anyone they think is suspicious. One of those suspicious things is asking about a base! I got really curious about Eagle Eyes and performed a search on it and was trembling with fear after reading the criteria for suspicious people. We would have been so busted when we were doing our spy-on-the-base bit."The rest was personal and I only pass on what she wrote about Eagle Eyes, as I had been interested in it ever since Wired mentioned it in conjunction with a Pentagon version of Operation Tips, called Talon. Her email propelled me to make a search of my own and I found the Wired article and the mention of Eagle Eyes and the provided link. It was actually written about something sinister called Talon, which I will get into later. I scored with this.>From Little Rock, Arkansas Air Force Base. Yikes!"-- Any attempts to obtain security-related information – or even basic information about the base – by anyone who does not have the appropriate security clearance and the need-to-know. Known as “elicitation,” these attempts may be made by e-mail, fax, telephone, in person, or through the mail."That's quite disturbing in light of what we used to do, but so is this. "Anyone in the Little Rock AFB community with information to report should immediately call the 314th Security Forces law enforcement desk sergeant at (501) 987-3221. Security forces will respond as appropriate to the immediate situation and pass the report to AFOSI. The information is shared with additional Air Force units and the Army, Navy, and other federal agencies."Aha! Look who this information is shared with. That means to me, that the Air Force runs it, but it's a total military and government operation. She wasn't kidding. Mygod, this is scary stuff. This is from the Eagle Eyes site itself, and what trips me out the most are the things people can be turned in for."We investigate a wide variety of serious offenses -- espionage, terrorism, crimes against property, violence against people, larceny, computer hacking, acquisition fraud, drug use and distribution, financial misdeeds, military desertion, corruption of the contracting process, and any other illegal activity that undermines the mission of the U.S. Air Force or the Department of Defense."Give this site a going-over. It just may raise the hair on your arms if you're a privacy nut like I and my friend. This next one was pretty scary, too."After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, Air Force Office of Special Investigations wanted to create a program to inform personnel of what they could do to contribute to the effort to prevent future terrorist attacks. The result was Eagle Eyes. According to Special Agent Kathryn Fenwick, commander of AFOSI Detachment 332, Eagle Eyes seeks to use military members and DOD civilians, as well as family members and even contractors, as force multipliers in the battle to prevent terrorism."Mydoghasfleamarkets! The Talon antiterrorism database cannot be found anywhere except from Wired, yes I'm repeating myself, but I didn't think they'd go out on a limb and mention it without a source other than a French security site, which when translated has mention of Talon, but not a leaked memo.Wired. "Talon was described in a May 2 memorandum to top Pentagon brass from Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz. In the memo, Wolfowitz directed the heads of military departments and agencies to begin producing Talon reports immediately. The Talon antiterrorism database was first reported by Kitetoa, a French security site. An anonymous source, who said he obtained a copy of the Talon memo from a website operated by the Department of Defense, provided Wired News with access to a copy marked "official use only." Ken McLellan, a Department of Defense spokesman, said the document "certainly looked authentic," but he declined to discuss the contents of the memo or the potential intrusion into DoD's network. McLellan said the agency was investigating the matter.">From the French site Ekitetoa: "... it is only the American government tracks its own citizens at a point which plank paranoia. Does one have to conclude from it that the American government is from now on afraid of its own people? Considering the climate of fear supplied with massive operations of F.U.D (on a worldwide scale), and what is exposed in a report/ratio of the American ministry for Defense concerning the Talon system, one has the right to believe it." Ok this is translated French, and it has one more mention."Since September 11, Talon, if it is about same, is useful has many other things. If means making it possible " to identify, bring back, and analyze information on the foreign terrorist threats " were set up, in particular since September 11, the ministry for Defense (DoD) explains that it does not have " formal mechanism making it possible to collect and to share the national information not-validated between the sector of the intelligence, against espionage, the police force ". But, but, but... Fortunately, there is Talon. This one makes it possible " to collect not-validated information, to make it divide with analysts and to incorporate them in the process of alarm of terrorist dangerosity of DoD." Stop the presses. That's not proof of this. What does an eagle have for feet? Talons! I think this has been mixed up with Eagle Eyes as the ideas and goals are the same, but........ then again Talon could be for real. It still boils down to the same thing. Turn on, turn in your neighbors or anyone you have a hate-on for. Mess up their lives, but hey, it's for a reason. To prevent terrorist attacks. I view the turning in of someone and a subsequent investigation an act of terror itself, especially if it's done out of spite and not legitimate reasons, turning the life of an innocent person upside down and inside out because one person ratted on them. My friend has reason to be afraid. She almost died, like so many others, but got out of there in time to get away from the testing and heal. I'm stunned she returned, but the things that happened to her, as well as myself and others in the South Jetty area, still eat at her and she's there to confront the 'enemy'. Now that she's found out that taking pics of the base, spying on what they were up to on a daily basis, all to prove they were harming the residents, could be cause for her to just disappear like others suspected of terrorism have. I urged her to leave the area and to keep her mouth shut. It's a sad time for America. Eagle Eyes, my ass. There are 869 different forms of lying, but only one of them has been squarely forbidden.
