When in fact it is still a medieval thoughtprocess at work. Nothing modern, and nothing new is happening. The whole process today is the process of yesterday. So, one hasbasically medieval people using electronic devices to communicateand view reports from around the world, but what is inside thebrain has not changed. Perhaps for this reason Krishnamurtipointed out in one of his last Talks: "The outer world haschanged, advanced electronically, but the mind has remained asprimitive as it was in the past. The Roman Empire still existstoday. You are the Romans."One may wonder what he meant by that. It seems absurd. Until youlook at the unfolding of events as they take place in the worldat large. The same colonists who destroyed the Celtic nations, asthey did every other ancient culture, are active today. When theColonists totally destoryed the Celtic way of life in Scotland,Ireland and in Wales. They called us "Barbarians". When theydestroyed the Breton culture, and the Cathars, the Mayan and theNative American. They called them all Barbarians. When they tookover Africa and colonised the many Islands, when they colonisedIndia and the Arabian continent. They called them Barbarians. On your modern day televisions, perhaps you miss seeing orunderstanding the same portrayal of Afganistan, or the regime inIraq as Barbaric. The regime in Cuba is Barbaric. The regime inIran is Barbaric. The regime in Syria is Barbaric. In Israel theway they behave is not Barbaric. The Israeli culture is moden andcivilised like the United States. The Celtic mind in appraisingall this would consider that each of these apparently Barbariccultures already exist for many thousands of years. While themodern civilised cultures have within 100 years polluted, destroyed, and greatly depleted the resources of the Earth. In appraising the behaviour of the modern civilised countries itwould seem that the same mind that conquered the Incas is nowsitting inside powerful fighter jets, long range bombers, aircraft carriers and tanks . . . but it is the same medievalthought process using the most modern electronic gagetry to kill.If you consider historically what gave the civilised regionscontrol over the rest of the world. It was the invention of thegun. That is the only factor that gave them the advantage. Bruteforce gunpowder, and it is still the same today. The invention of the gun finished off the Scots, as it finishedthe Irish and the Welsh. The Incas did not stand a chance, nordid the Native Americans. Nor did the Iraqi's. Having alreadycolonised the Middle East, and then having had to leave. Is itreally going to be any different now, than it was in the past? Ifyou consider the successful colonisation of South America, or theUnited States. Thousands upon thousands of people had to move tothose areas and actually live there. They literally took over. Ifthousands of US citizens do not move to live in Iraq, in Iran,Afganistan and Syria, how can any long term control of theseareas be achieved? So, if you imagine - as you watch the latest news report - thatwe are doing something different than was done by our ancestors.Think again! As you view the events within a historicalperspective, it becomes clear that this whole exercise is a totalwaste of time and resources, and lives. Because unless the peopleof America physically move in and take over the Middle East - asthey did when they colonised the Native American homelands.Staying in Iraq and putting all the Arabs into reservations.Nothing will change there. No systems change is going to stop thepeople there being followers of Islam, or the Sufi religion, orany other Arabic tradition. Now the way the Arabs think and actcannot be conveniently fitted into a modern style 'democracy'.Because they, like the Celts and the Mayan's and the rest of us -think differently. The question of a long term military occupation in this areacreates the question: Who will pay for it? The early Celticsociety was communal. The civilised colonists considered usBarbaric because the leader of the community owned nothing. Hewas the overseer of the communites wealth, he was there to servethe community - and not the other way around. Everything he hadcame from the community: his home, his food, his clothing.Decisions were taken through open discussion within thecommunity. The leader was a strategist who was there to advisethe people and lead them to the best decisions. The people ofthis Celtic community would want to know who pays for this kindof verture, what will be gained and what will be lost? Taxes didnot exist. Taxation came through colonisation. The Arabs will now"indirectly" pay taxes to the Americal system. Just as theMayan's were forced to pay Taxes to Spain once they became aColony. So nothing has changed really, other than that thegunpowder makes a bigger bang than it did during the Goldrush.-- "All history is a set of lies agreed upon".Napoleon Bonaparte The gang that couldn’t think straight D.
