Remenber back before the war started Bush and Rumsfeld assuring everyone that the US would only be in Iraq a few months to a year tops?

ABC news reports that a group of senators visiting Iraq have now upped that estimate to 5 years, not only that, but get your wallet out, the cost of the mission is going up as well:

"In Baghdad, visiting U.S. senators cautioned that Americans should expect their forces to remain in Iraq for as long as five years.

"I don't think the American people fully appreciate just how long we are going to be committed here and what the overall cost will be," said Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., after meeting the head of the civil administration, L. Paul Bremer".

Someone should remind the phony Christian Bush that bearing false witness is against the 10 Commandments. If Bush has is heart set on pretending to be a Christian, he should at least putting a little effort into the charade.
