This is not the same United States of America.

What happened outside Waco in 1993 so different than ever had taken place in the Republic of the United States. Even in the times of the Civil War there was an "act of Congress" that triggered the United States military to attack its own citizens. After the tyranny of the British was expelled you could say there were death squads initiated by those in power within the United States who wore concealments such as pointed white suits, at times. At the church of David Koresh in 1993 it is easy to say that U.S. government law enforcement bungled its attempt to secure Mount Carmel Center, as it is easy to say David's followers blew it. After all David did not come to the door with a gun. The Branch Davidians were caught by the apparent unwillingness of law enforcement to capture David Koresh away from his church because of the need for a crime. Sheriff Harwell's experience with the church was that the Davidians were peaceful enough to abide by the law when presented with a warrant. The BATF was more than willing to have another high profile exercise for its agents, so much so they continued after the loss of the element of surprise. Men, this time in black, shooting indiscriminately at women and children on video. Why hold the media back too far? Aided by the dialogue of demonization, law enforcement oversaw the siege with tanks, holding back the fire trucks, oversaw the burning and torturous deaths of citizens of the United States. Some say they should have come out, but what was so wrong with letting the press in to capture the site for all to see? When those in power in our country direct the public's rage and fears, by such means so to make it easy for the public to say "they deserved it" and walk away without charges on themselves, you can also say welcome to the majority vote of Democracy and farewell to our guaranteed rights of our Republic.

Do you care?
