Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of one of the darkest moments in American history: when agents of our government willfully murdered American men, women, and children in Waco Texas. They did this before the whole world, thinking that their lies would satisfy the majority of the population, who were largely indifferent to begin with. The rest of us, they thought they would pacify with a sham congressional investigation, who despite OVERWHELMING PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, absolved the government agents of wrong doing.
They have effectively blamed the Davidians for setting fire to themselves, conjuring the Jim Jones Massacre as a correlation to this incident. Let us make no mistake about it ...there is a huge difference between the Jonestown Massacre and Waco. The people in Waco had no intention of committing suicide and their last moments found themselves trying to huddle their children to a safe bunker that was specifically targeted for gassing by the Govt.
The govt. changed its story so many times as to WHY all of this went down in the first place: We heard everything from firearms violations, to Mount Carmel being the site of a crystal meth lab, to child abuse... Only the fourth, and actual reason, remains obscured ...the Govt went there with the intention to commit murder ...which they did. The ATF needed a successful raid, since the question of their usefulness and the justification of their budget was coming upon the table before congress. They had to flex their muscle.
This is documented.
Had the Govt. been interested in a peaceful resolution, then they could have forgone the raid in the first place and picked Koresh or any of his followers up in town on their frequent visits. They could have accepted the Davidians invitation to come at a specified time and inspect the firearms in question. (They declined). They could have listened to their undercover operative who was in the compound and tried to inform the Govt that the Davidians knew they were coming.
The autopsy photos, the aerial FLAR surveillance, the initial 9-11 call made by the Davidians etc...can not be whitewashed.

The news program most recently aired by ABC is nothing but a further attempt to absolve the responsibility from where it actually belongs ...the instigators of this tragedy ...the government. I enclose and close with a comment most recently posted by one of the people who was interviewed by ABC, a man who lost his mother at Waco:

The Producer of the ABC Prime Time program, scheduled to air this
evening, misrepresented the facts of how this program would play out.

I was told that we would be allowed to ask an FBI representative any
questions we'd like to ask. When the time came to ask my questions, the
Producer said I was not allowed to present my questions.

This morning the Good Morning America host, Charles Gibson stated that,
"The children were allowed to ask all of their questions, even the tough
ones." This did not happen. The whole tone of the program promotional
seen this morning appeared to be a sham designed to lay the entire blame
for the events of 4-19-93 on David Koresh, and in the process
exonerating the FBI of any responsibility. This was not the true story
either.

I lived at Waco with my mother when I was a child from the age of 13 to
18 when I made the decision to leave. My mother stayed behind, and she
was one of the victims who died at Waco. I am now a police officer, and
I have submitted evidence to Congress in an attempt to launch a new
investigation into my mother's death.

I agreed to participate in the ABC show to tell the truth about who the
Branch Davidians were and the involvement of the BATF and FBI. In
February, I went to New York for the interview.

During the interview, I was betrayed and the program is a
misrepresentation of my position and the real story of Waco.

In other promotional advertisements, ABC has made misleading statements
about the Branch Davidians in what appears to be an attempt to justify
the historical end result. I went into this interview trusting ABC, and
now I feel like a victim all over again.

Due to previous obligations, I will be at a memorial in Waco on April
