The Self-Hating American


The Zionists have a great way to neutralize a Jew who criticizes the Zionist
agenda. The miscreant is labeled a 'self-hating Jew.' It's a neat trick.
Obviously a self-hating Jew isn't a real Jew and has no business discussing
what is best for Jews. I guess that's why the majority of Israelis recently
voted to retain the Zionist War Criminal and Murderer, Ariel Sharon, as
their leader. Lots of citizens of Israel came to Zion from old totalitarian
Eastern Block nations that repressed all religious expression. Lots of
Israelis never even practiced Judaism until they got to Israel. The poor
souls from Cold War era Eastern Europe have enough self-esteem problems as
it is. Faced with the epithet of 'self-hating,' many new Jews are
intimidated into silence rather than be ostracized from those Jews who know
better. Jews like Ariel Sharon know what's best for everyone. Killing a
Palestinian isn't murder unless swatting a fly is murder. Anyone who
disagrees is a self-hating Jew. Is that elegant or what?

Anyway, here in the good old U.S. of A. some are trying to use the
'self-hating' brand of forced conformity upon those who would choose to
protest the insane, criminal and evil policies of the insane, criminal and
evil Bush Administration. Lots of warmongering, greed-addicted,
truth-challenged buffoons like Rush Limbaugh are calling those who would
dare protest Presidential Perdition as being Anti-American. Can you believe
that? Dissent is anti-American. (These cretins obviously have no
understanding of American history and the internecine battles of
Jefferson/Adams/Hamilton/Madison etc.)

Those citizens who would dare challenge the Bush Administration's juggernaut
of evil are now called Self-Hating Americans. Those patriots who refuse to
surrender their precious liberty for the comfort of security are self-hating
Americans. Those kids, grandmas and moms who march against murder-for-oil
are self-hating Americans. They who ask for proof and investigations into
9/11 and Iraq WMD accusations are self-hating Americans.

I hate it when the Supreme Court of the United States of America does what
the United States Military has never done; stage a coup against the people.
I hate it when our revered Fourth Estate is compromised by the special
interests that own it and America is ranked as the 17th freest press in the
world. I hate that Reality TV gets more press than reality. I hate it when
our government covers up their high crimes and misdemeanors by sealing off
official papers from public view. I hate it when the crime of September 11th
is blamed on Islamic fundamentalists without a shred of proof. I hate it
when the Anthrax murderers try to frame Muslims in order to incite Americans
to a Clash of Civilizations. I hate it when our government tells us that
they have to lie to us as a matter of national security. I hate it when
hysteria forces our representative government to pass oppressive legislation
like the PATRIOT Act without reading it, (which is then thankfully rejected
by rational local governments.) I hate it when the American Government of
George Bush acts like a clueless bully. I hate that George Bush calls his
plan to increase air pollution, "Clear Skies." I hate that George Bush calls
his plan to give old growth wilderness to logging companies a "Healthy
Forest" Initiative. I hate that George Bush signed a law raping the Clean
Water Act for the benefit of coal mining companies late on a Friday
afternoon hoping that no one would notice.

I hate it that America has squandered its potential for Good in the world. I
hate it that America has become a rogue nation. I hate it that America will
nuke first and ask questions later. I hate that America refuses to take
responsibility for its cruel Capitalist-led aggression throughout the world
for the last 100 years. I hate that America is oblivious and ambivalent
toward the pitiful plight of third world suffering that it has done so much
to cause. I hate that American pride has outstripped American know-how. I
hate that American belligerence has replaced American ingenuity. I hate that
American arrogance has snuffed out American benevolence. I hate that
American domination has sold out American collaboration. I hate that America
is hated so bitterly by so many.

I hate that most Americans seem in a perpetual state of sleep-deprived,
dis-informed shock, paralyzed from action. I hate that most Americans are
more interested in celebrity gossip than corporate malfeasance. I hate that
most Americans can't find Iraq on a map but have no problem killing Iraqis.
I hate that most Americans support the "worst President in the history of
the United States." I hate that most Americans unquestioningly support an
inhumane and cruel Israel. I hate that most Americans do what they are told
and try not to rock the boat. I hate that most Americans say they believe in
freedom but do nothing when it is taken away from them. I hate that most
Americans don't care what is done in their name by their rogue government. I
hate that most Americans are clueless about why so many hate us.

On the other hand, Self-Loving Americans like the President and certain
members of the Supreme Court steal elections and hide the truth. Self-loving
Americans wrap themselves in the flag while they dismantle the Constitution.
Self-loving Americans believe in trickle-down, reverse Robin Hood, voodoo
economics that steals from the middle class and gives to the rich.
Self-loving Americans accuse anyone who criticizes budget-busting, deficit
exploding, take-from-the-poor-and-give-to-the-rich voodoo economics of
practicing class warfare. Self-loving Americans believe that the environment
is something to trash and exploit. Self-loving Americans believe that global
warming is caused by liberal promiscuity. Self-loving Americans believe that
'might makes right.' Self-loving Americans' motto is, "America, love it or
leave it." Self-loving Americans believe that dumbed-down people are good
people. Self-loving Americans don't care what you think if what you think is
different than what they think. Self-loving Americans believe you are either
with them or with the terrorists. Self-loving Americans believe that God has
given them 'dominion' over the world.

As Self-loving America marches toward war foolishly believing that the world
can be bullied into submission, voices of reason and dissent are labeled
treasonous. As self-loving America puffs up its chest and bellows about its
greatness, the poor and the meek hunker down and wait for the smoke to
clear. As self-loving America straddles the world like a brutish Goliath,
someone is preparing a sling and a shot while humming the tune of "the
bigger they are, the harder they fall."

Go ahead; call me a self-hating American. What other choice do I have?
You're either with them or you're against them. They have drawn the lines,
they have set the rules and they have framed the debate. It's good against
evil, it's right against wrong and it's love against hate.

Black is white, up is down and America is wrong.
