American Veterans In Domestic Defense

Here is a veterans organization with no ties to the government, and with a mission of preserving the freedoms established by our fore fathers which are under constant attack at the present time.

American Veterans In Domestic Defense (AVIDD) is a three-year-old nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of Washington, D.C. AVIDD was formed in response to a challenge by General Raymond G. Davis, the most highly decorated veteran alive. His challenge was for veterans to continue to exercise the oath we all took to “support and defend the constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic”. AVIDD’s mission is Constitution defending in nature, national in scope and focused on domestic enemies who seek to weaken and destroy our republic. We need both your moral support and you financial support.

We veterans have a unique voice. We have already demonstrated our loyalty to America with the blood of thousands of patriots on innumerable battlefields throughout the world. We seek no personal gain, only those benefits which accrue to each citizen equally. Our goal is produce a freer nation. We seek to counter the trend towards more government leaving “We The People” with fewer and/or reduced freedoms and a loss of sovereignty. We are not a military force or a militia; we are veterans acting with diplomacy to change our country for the better by banding together in its defense.

AVIDD needs to expand its staff to pursue these issues and to be an effective national organization. We are seeking to expand our membership in order to increase the strength of our voice in national affairs. AVIDD needs an operations manager to grow to coordinate with the state directors. AVIDD needs a project manager to identify, track and develop issues along with other skill sets.

We seek to identify problems which if countered will stop the erosion of our freedoms. The following issues are some that we are currently working on:

1. Attacks on the Bill of Rights – We recently supported Judge Roy Moore, the Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. A Federal District Judge ordered Judge Moore to remove a Ten Commandments Monument from the Rotunda of the Supreme Court building. Judge Moore had campaigned on the fact that he WOULD install the monument if elected. AVIDD held a rally on the steps of the Alabama Capital Building. Veterans from coast to coast attended the rally. The result, the Federal Judge stayed his order indefinitely. (AVIDD and the rally were featured on Dr. D. James Kennedy’s Coral Ridge Hour (on TBN) Feb 22 and 23 for AVIDD’s support of Judge Moore.)

2. Knowledge of our Founding Documents - AVIDD is about ready to unveil its plan for veterans, in cooperation with churches, to begin teaching classes on the founding documents of the Republic. Many Americans see these documents as too difficult to understand allowing others to interpret for them. The power vested in the American people can only be wisely exercised when Americans hold an understanding of these documents.

3. Judicial Reform – AVIDD’s goal is to insure that all Americans are treated fairly in the courts by insuring that judges act only within their authority and uphold their oath to the Constitution.

4. Engineering Safety – To insure that all Americans are provided with safe equipment that meets applicable engineering standards and to insure that equipment supplied by defense contractors to our armed forces is both safe and reliable.

5. Elimination of the IRS – To rid ourselves of unlawful taxation.

6. Sunsetting the Texas State Bar – a local Texas issue.

7. Opposing the ACLU – To prevent this organization from using our laws in ways that weaken the moral fiber of the country and threaten our freedom.

Made up of 30,000+ members, the equivalent of a military division, from all branches of service. Membership to be as in civic organizations such as Kiwanis, Rotary, Lions Club, and Optimists.

* Charter Member: First 1,000 members

2) Reserve Force

Made up off all veterans who have worn the uniform with honor. Estimated 25,000,000 veterans.

Financial Challenge
* Reserve Member: $15 annual

Quarterly newsletter will be mailed to each active member.

3) Support Force

Made up of all community, civic, church, service clubs, patriotic organizations, foundations, special intetrest groups, and individuals who wish to help. It is estimated there are 30,000 organizations.

Financial Challenge

Contribute as they are challenged - $50, $500, $1,000, or other.
Quarterly newsletter will be mailed to each Support Member.

When you become a member of AVIDD you will be sent a handbook entitled "Citizens Rule Book" which containing the following:
