Hayworth Leads Vets Benefits Committee
Congressman J-D Hayworth has been announced Chairman of the
House subcommittee with legislative jurisdiction over veterans'
benefits programs. Hayworth will lead the House Veterans Affairs
Subcommittee on Benefits, which focuses on such issues as veterans'
compensation, insurance, pensions and housing. The nine-member
subcommittee also oversees several government veterans' programs.
Hayworth says, as chairman, he will focus on improved delivery of
benefits to veterans.
