We're taxed on everything. Now we are all paying .33 cents each on our phone bill so poor people can have phones, and schools and libraries have cheap phones. Can you imagine how much that adds up to? Every one who has a phone in the US pays .33 cents, like it or not. No, you do not have a choice in paying it. I called Sprint, they said it is imposed by the Feds. We pay a hell'ava majority of our tax money into schools already. On our cars, boats and property we pay for INDG CARE. Look down at the bottom of the itimized payments on your tax bill. That's for poor people unable to pay for their medical care at the local hospital here in Beaufort, SC Supposedly County owned, non profit. They have programs to help the poor pay their light bill, pay their phone bill, get free food, free welfare, free medical care, free lunches. One TV station in Charleston has a campaign every summer to get free fans and air conditioners. Now they are having a drive to help families pay their electric bill. Of course evey Christmas they have a drive to get free presents. (I think kids a re great and want to see them have a nice Christmas. It's another part of the free ride they are getting that pisses me off.) Hell, if you're the right ethnic origin you can free medical from yo' mamas belly until the time you are in the grave. How in the hell is it that I gave the military four years in the prime of my life, worked my ass off all my life and never got a damn thing free? And we pay tax on gas, and 6% sales tax on everything we buy. I do not want to see people cold or hot, I wnat to see our kids be happy and get a good education. But all this tax thing be damned and all this free ride stuff to. It is nothing but Federal, State and County government getting in the retired and working man and womans pocket. I made $12. an hour on a job last year. No deductions. They took $24.55 percent of my pay right off the top for Fed tax, sate tax, medicare & FICA. So I was left with $9.00 And then I have to pay all this other stuff in addition? Hell no I don't like it. And you shouldn't either. I'm outa' here.
