American Slaves to Labor!!!

Dear Patriots,
The painful truth is that since the "Corporation" was enthroned in 1872, having recieved human personhood the majority of us have been nothing more than "Slaves to Labor." Big boss cracks his or her whip and rules by fear, intimidation and scare tactics. Kind of like the U.S. Federal Government Inc. Note: Some slaves are paid better than others.
Corporate slavery reared its ugly head during America's industrial revolution when workers witnessed the inhuman greed and barbaric tactics imposed by barons such as steel magnate Andrew Carnegie. Out of this came the labor union and collective bargaining. Many died as union busters and hired corporate/government thugs were brought in to crush the worker rebellions.
In 2005, the labor union has found that in a global marketplace they are completely powerless to prevent a company from locating to a Third World country. Labor unions will continue to fight back against so called free trade agreements like NAFTA and CAFTA. But, they do not seem to recognize that it is "centralized power" that gives big boss the opportunity to desert his or her homeland.
There are several ways to insure that capital and jobs remain firmly anchored. One is through employee ownership of productive assets. These types of businesses are growing in number in the USA and around the world. Ideally, worker/owners have majority voting rights on the board of directors, hire outside management, nixing absurd CEO compensation and can fire the CEO who fails to perform in their best interests.
Employee owned firms have a historical track record of paying higher wages and better benefits balancing the needs of worker/owners with the longterm survival of the company. Second, there are a growing number of non-profit corporations that manufacture and sell products to further their respective missions.
Third, there are also what is known as "Hybrid Corporations." These social entrepreneurs purposely blur the boundaries of profit and non-profit by using effective market competition to capture marketshare.
I believe what is needed is a organized system of corporate and social transformation. WE THE PEOPLE need to take another look at how we view economics, people and profits. If we are to become more peaceful and prosperous as a nation then please support, patronize and establish more of the above.
I am compiling a "Consumer Directory" that will include many of these as well as a list of companies that are outsourcing American jobs. Note: The ladder should not be rewarded with your hard earned consumer dollars. Contact me here or by e-mail if you would like to get one.

In peace,

Daniel E. Moore,USAF veteran
