Description: Diane Wilson, a former fourth generation shrimp boat captain, writes about her lawsuit against Formosa Plastics, a multibillion dollar corporation and chemical company that was responsible for dumping ethylene dichloride, vinyl choloride among other pollutants in the Texas Gulf Coast. "An Unreasonable Woman" is the author's narrative on her efforts. She chronicles her struggle, including three hunger strikes and the near sinking of her boat that led to the win of her legal battle. This event was hosted by Busyboys & Poets bookstore in Washington, DC.

Author Bio: Diane Wilson has been an activist since 1989 and is the co-founder of CODE-PINK: Women for Peace. She is now retired from commerical fishing and "An Unreasonable Woman" is her first book.
