Worden" wolfeyes@hisurfer.net To: Ladies & gentlemen:Bill O'Reilly of Fox has taken the position that Canada's loose acceptanceof potential terrorist immigrants is responsible for those potentialterrorists entering the United States. His entire premise is found wanting.Look, we Americans are responsible for controlling our own borders, whetherour government fulfills that role or not. Yes, we'd like Canada to assistin that, but Canada is Canada -- a sovereign nation independent of theUnited States of America -- and they can do as they please with their ownimmigration policies. So can Mexico. When it comes to controlling our ownborder with Canada and Mexico, that is our business and our responsibility.O'Reilly is an okay guy, but just that. He lacks common sense in just toomany areas that I find disturbing to the point I now question his rationalein all things until proven otherwise. Sorry, Bill. The United States of America is responsible for controlling the borders ofthe United States of America -- any questions? We, the people, are in fact, the Government of the United States of America. If the electedrepresentatives and bureaucrats of the United States Government will not, orcannot adequately control our northern border with Canada, then we need toform citizen Militia groups near those borders to fill that vacuum -- justlike the citizens' Militia groups who have begun to patrol our southernborders. My gut instinct tells me George W. Bush privately welcomes the advent ofcitizen Militia groups patrolling our borders and repelling and/or arrestingthe invaders. It is all too perfect for him, in a political sense. He canpolitically deny a formal U.S. Government intervention, thus relievinghimself of the political and international baggage that goes with it, whileasserting that his citizens have an independent right to protect theirprivate and publicly owned property on those borders.God in Heaven, I hope he's that smart. Please God, make him that smart.Amen.In a recent news conference with presidential press secretary ArieFleischer, WorldNetDaily reporter Les Kinsolving asked what President Bushintended to do about the citizen Militia groups now patrolling the Arizonaborder with Mexico. Fleischer replied, "The president believes that thelaws of the land need to be observed and the laws need to be enforced."Did you get that clearly? That's a green light, citizens! As long as thecitizen Militias do not violate the law in confronting and arresting illegalimmigrants invading the borders of the United States, President Bush isn'tgoing to intervene. Unless we get a bunch of cowboys who are undisciplinedand blow it, George W. Bush is not going to intervene. That places a lot of responsibility on us Militia men and women, and I amconfident we will perform as required under law. We are all entitled tomake citizen arrests, and to use lethal force only if used to protectourselves from imminent death or serious injury -- or to protect others fromthe same.Groups like Texas' Jack Foote's Ranch Rescue Militia are manned withtop-notch retired special forces personnel, who have already proven theirprowess in border intervention techniques. The last time they struck, theybagged 279 lbs. of high grade marijuana without unnecessarily killing theinterlopers.I see a change coming to America where American citizens get off their sofasand take the actions our Founding Fathers would take pride in. There is amajor change coming, and we independent American citizens will be thecatalyst.Carl F. WordenLiaison OfficerSouthern Oregon Militia
