My Dear Comrades;

We have entered in a time when you least expect it, you think you are on Candid Camera but are not.
Do you remember one of the episodes of that show when a customer in a Taxi cab got a ticket for the cab driver speeding, and not the driver?

Don't be surprised if a passenger of a vehicle gets a ticket now a days.
This happened to Russell and I last night, yes Russell got arrested for suspended or revoked License. The joke here is that Russ was taken out of the car from the passenger side, put in hand cuffs and taken off to jail, and no one said, "smile, you're on Candid Camera!"

Not until later that night, after Russ was bailed out, did we get a clear chance to think about what just happened. Therefore, I would like to share this with all of you as a WARNING.

Time: around 9:15-20 pm Dec. 6th, 2002
My husband and went to the store to pick up a newspaper (looking for work), ice cream and a pack of cig. Russ comes out of the store and gets back into the car. I proceeded to drive home, which is about 4 ½ blocks from the store.
I put my signal on to make a left hand turn unto our street, then put on the right hand signal to turn into our drive way.
That's when the blue lights were flashing, time 9:30 pm, according to my and Russ's tickets; so I did not pull all the way down into the drive way. I shut off the car and put my hands on the steering wheel, I guess I have watched to many cop movies cause this was the first time ever that I have been in trouble with the law, but I knew to put my hands on the wheel, ha, ha… The officer comes up to my side of the window and says, "Can I see your drivers license and registration?" Of course I had no problem in doing so.
He then walks around to the passengers side of the car and asks Russell to step out, he (cop) begins to pat down Russell, looking for weapons I suppose; in the mean time I notice another cop shining his light in on me. He (the 1st cop) then said to Russ do you have an ID? Russ says yes it's in the house would you like me to go get it, just up those stairs? The officer says no and tells Russ to get back in the car. Both police officers walked away from the car, to do what ever it is they do.

By now, because of who we are we noticed they had 3 cop cars, one blocking the road and two on the street behind us.

Then the 1st office comes over to the passenger side opens the door and tells Russ to stand up that he was being arrested for driving on a suspended license. "This is illegal!" I said as they were walking Russ to the cop car. As I leaned over and was closing the passenger door the officer comes back and says, "Here don't you want this? It's your ticket for driving on a failure to obtain NH license (within 60 days). Which of course this is true, and I told the officer "fine that's alright, but we will see you in court, this is twice now you have arrested my husband on false charges." Last summer they arrested and shipped him straight to state prison no phone call, would not let him contact me for several days, kept him their for 20 days then released him and more or less said, "we are sorry it was a paper mix up."
I tell you this is harassment!!

So let me see now come Dec. 16, 2002 Russ has to go before a Judge and will plead not guilty. I feel we will win this case, lets look at the over all picture. The Judge sees two tickets giving to two people at the same time for both driving the same vehicle. (at the same time? This car only has one steering wheel; Russ was not sitting on my lap. So can two people get a driving ticket at the same time?)

The WARNING is: passengers be ware you may now get a ticket for just being in the car. Moreover, you will not hear, "Smile you're On Candid Camera

Note: I also want you all to know that while Russ was down at the police station while holding him, they were saying things to him like your with Aryan Nations, was that you on the beach this summer with Nazi flags? So I tell you this is harassment!
