Lincoln Group's Pentagon Propaganda Linked to Washington Post
From today's "Need to Know News" from Cheryl Seal Reports at http://needtoknownews.cherylsealreports.com
The Lincoln Group - the creeps responsible for bribing Iraqi editors (isn't that fraud?) - posted a press release (calling it a news report) at their site on June 11, 2005 bragging about the Pentagon's THREE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLAR propaganda contracts. Of course they don't call it propaganda - they give a nice, tidy euphemism: Diplomacy effort. But look at this paragraph and you'll understand why the media belongs to the Bush administration:
"SYColeman Inc. of Arlington, Lincoln Group of the District, and Science Applications International Corp. will help develop ideas and prototypes for radio and television spots, documentaries, or even text messages, pop-up ads on the Internet, podcasting, billboards or novelty items." All to make skunk cabbage appear to be a rose.
Now here's the real kicker! The content of this press release was obviously created by the Lincoln Group - no doubt by its Department of Insight and Influence (yes, I kid you not, the Lincoln Group has such a department, complete with Director of Insight and Inlfuence). But guess where it was planted as "ready made news"? The Washington Post, via one Renae Merle of the Post staff who no doubt tweaked it slightly and "Voila!" Instant news. Pretty strong proof that the Post has, all along, been colluding with the Pentagon! (Democrats.com in fact has long referred to the Post as the " Pentapost").Check out the Lincoln Group http://www.lincolngroup.com/
STORY @
Pentagon's Propaganda Machine was Put in Place Well Before the Iraq
David Isenberg reports, "The news of a US military operation that pays Iraqi newspapers to run stories written by "information operations" troops about how wonderfully things are going in the war should not come as a shock. Even before the Iraq invasion, the Pentagon planned to create its own in-house propaganda and disinformation operation, to be called the Office of Strategic Influence. The program was supposedly killed after critics pointed out how easily the phony news it created could drift back into the domestic media." So they went back to the office and changed the name on the door!
