I fully agree with foxboy1313, and have held this view
for a long, long time now. The American people, and the
world, are being duped, and if you don't believe it,
you're being duped as well.
http://www.democrats.com/impeachforchange-plan
I hope you Dems get it together and try to impeach Bush.
When I read what Pelosi said about impeachment being
"off the table", it just confirmed everything I've
believed all these years. And Pelosi is from my district
in San Francisco, one of the most left-leaning areas of
the entire country! I was born and raised in SF and am a
proud radical lefty. There's no way you'd convince me
the Dems are serving the interests of the people of the
world, or the world/environment itself. They are, for
the most part, also in the hands of the elite/rich and
serve their interests. Anyone in this country who
threatens in a serious way to do otherwise is
"neutralized", either by defamation, imprisonment or
assassination. Think I'm off the deep end? Read your
history!
And foxboy, while I'm not a great fan of the "founding
fathers", this is a great Jefferson quote. Thanks!
Best,
Dr. Livingston

Democrats.com Launches ImpeachForChange Mobilization for
Impeachment
Submitted by Bob Fertik on November 9, 2006 -

On Saturday, Democrats.com and our progressive allies
launched a nationwide grassroots mobilization for
impeachment in Philadelphia near Independence Hall,
where the Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787.
The mobilization is called ImpeachForChange. Our goals
include:
1. A grassroots petition drive to collect 1 million
signatures at ImpeachForChange.org
2. Form Impeachment Committees in all 435 Congressional
Districts to lobby every Member of Congress by:
delivering books & videos on impeachment
collecting petitions and handwritten letters in front of
their District Offices
meeting with every Member to discuss the issues that
require impeachment

The best case I could make for City Council to act on
Bush's Impeachment

I recently reported on this site regarding my intentions
to urge my local government - here in Newark, Ohio - to
intervene regarding Bush's illegal actions as Chief
Executive/Commander-in-chief/Diplomat-in-chief/etc.
After three preceeding speeches before City Council, the
following is my final and best case that I could make
(as reported on my blogsite):
"I come here tonight with a promise as well as a
message; the message being the best case that I can
present regarding whether or not Mr. Bush and his
administration should face impeachment, removal as well
as any and all future punishments for the crimes that
they have been accused of; I’ve come to refer to the
following presentation as the “Seven Points”.

I wish you all could have been in Philadelphia on
Saturday for the launch of ImpeachForChange at the
National Constitution Center. Our speakers and bloggers
were outstanding!!!
We're working on uploading the video. I'll post links
from bloggers as I find them. We even had a freeper mole
- the poor guy sounds very depressed, as do the rest of
his freeper buddies. I think they need big hugs!

Don't squander my vote or my tax dollars on impeachment

I'm shocked at this initiative and can't help but wonder
whether there's a wolf (neocon) in Democrat's clothing
behind this. I can't think of a better way to ensure
that the Democrats will have a short-lived Congressional
term than to pursue impeachment. Americans do want REAL
change. I'm thrilled we Democrats won. However, the
"...mobilization called ImpeachForChange..." might
better be termed "IMMOBILIZATION for change". An
impeachment initiative would literally squander the
results of this election. Speaker Pelosi has it right:
our newly elected Congress needs to focus on more
important initiatives such as developing exit strategies
from Iraq; putting an immediate halt to mistreatment of
prisoners (including denial of due process and, first
and foremost, putting an end to torture); beginning the
real work of cleaning up the environment; enacting
universal health care; securing social security;
supporting Mexico in developing economic initiatives to
lift half its population out of poverty and at the same
time working out equitable means (e.g.

9/11 Truth investigation would lead to Impeachment

I think that a new and truly independent investigation
into the attacks of 9/11 would be the best way to move
toward Impeachment. There is more than enough evidence
of high level government involvement in the attacks to
Indict the entire Bush Administration for High Crimes
and Treason. This would be a better way to get rid of
them since any possibility of a future Presidential
Pardon simply couldn't happen. Another benefit is that
we wouldn't appear to be playing partisan politics or
just out for revenge and therefore draw from a much
larger number of people for support. I would appreciate
you

No Unitary Executive

I just sent the following letter to my Congressman. Feel
free to re-post it (with attribution) or use it as a
basis for your own letter.

We must act as quickly as possible to start
investigations that could lead to the impeachment of
George W. Bush.
This is not about revenge. This is not to get Speaker
Hastert or Speaker Pelosi elevated to President (in
fact, I recommend only impeaching Bush, not Cheney).
This is not a coup.
This is about setting a precedent that there is no such
thing as a Unitary Executive.

Impeachment FAQ
ImpeachForChange
Q. Shouldn't Congressional Democrats try to work with
George Bush in the spirit of bi-partisanship rather than
impeach him?
A. Of course they should but Bush never practiced
bi-partisanship when Republicans controlled Congress
from 2001 to 2006. And one day after he sat with
Speaker-elect Pelosi and promised bi-partisanship, he
assaulted Democrats with outrageous partisan demands:
* legalize his illegal wiretapping program and gut the
law that limits a president's ability to abuse his power
in this way
* ratify his recess appointment of John Bolton as
ambassador to the United Nations, who is deeply divisive
and opposed by nearly every Democratic Senator as well
as moderate Republicans
* immediate approval of his administration's deal to
sell civilian nuclear technology to India despite that
nation's refusal to sign or abide by the Nuclear
Nonproliferation Treaty
Q. Aren't you dividing the Democrats when Nancy Pelosi,
John Conyers, and Howard Dean all oppose impeachment?
