Nov 11 (Reuters) - Following are security incidents reported in Iraq on Friday, Nov. 11, as of 1740 GMT.

U.S. and Iraqi forces are battling a Sunni Arab insurgency against the Shi'ite- and Kurdish-led government in Baghdad.

* BAQUBA - Three policemen were killed and two wounded when gunmen opened fire on a checkpoint in Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) northeast of Baghdad, police said. Hospital sources said a baby was also killed.

KIRKUK - The U.S. military said two soldiers were killed and two wounded in a vehicle accident involving a logistics patrol northwest of Kirkuk. Earlier, reporters saw two burnt out fuel tankers on the road and local residents said two soldiers had been killed. A militant group called Army of Ansar al Sunna said in a Web posting it had hit the convoy with a roadside bomb.

BAGHDAD - Gunmen opened fire on guards outside the Omani embassy in western Baghdad. Hospital sources said five security guards were wounded, but police said only two had been hurt.

BAGHDAD - One insurgent was killed and an Iraqi policeman was wounded when clashes broke out in Ghazaliya district in western Baghdad, police said.

QAMISHLI - One Iraqi policeman was killed and three were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near their patrol in Qamishli, 65 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Three Iraqi policeman were injured when a makeshift bomb exploded near their patrol in central Baghdad, police said.

KARABILA - A U.S. Marine died of wounds suffered in a makeshift bomb attack on Nov. 10 in Karabila in western Iraq near the Syrian border, the military said in a statement.

KHALIDIYA - Two U.S. soldiers died after they were hit by small arms fire during operations near Khalidiya, 85 km (53 miles) west of Baghdad, on Nov. 10, the military said in a statement.

BAGHDAD - Seven insurgents were killed and five captured during a raid on a suspected suicide bomber cell in Baghdad on Nov. 10, the military said.

BAGHDAD - Iraqi police and U.S forces discovered two bodies with gunshot wounds in the western Ghazaliya district of the capital on Thursday, U.S military said in a statement.

BAGHDAD - Three Iraqi women and one U.S. soldier were wounded when insurgents detonated a car bomb in east Baghdad on Thursday, the U.S military said in a statement.
