Hi- I love the message board and your organization- you may not recall, but it was the Abu prison photo that bothered me on the newsletter only seeing it day after day after day and that's the only reason I didn't want that. I still want the daily updates and you told me where to post if I wanted to. Maybe if it's all or nothing (newsletter is same as daily update e-mail list) I will just delete the newsletter so I won't get those surprises and continue with the daily updates. I think you are fantastic bringing all these people together and supplying us with so much news! I was so badly abused as a kid and you can't imagine what this whole abuse thing in the military has brought up for abuse victims. I work with a group concerning non-combat deaths in the military too- so I've known about abuse and hazing and murder and suicide and accidents for a long time. I know what every nation has done in the military to others and we've never had any clean bill of health. I talked to a German gentleman who was a child in WWII and I think it was the Russians who came thru their town and raped and pillaged and then the Americans came and they thought oh good we are saved, but the Americans also raped and pillaged. My father was in WWII- I know a lot of military people and trying to help overturn the Feres Doctrine among many many many other causes. (see my POW/MIA link below)
Anyway- I love APFN and don't want to quit it- just not get graphic upsetting photos. I've been writing and raging about it to the administration and my Senators and rep for some time now- they all got an earful and I don't think any soldier involved should be excused from consequences, but we need to follow it right up to the top.
