The Pope is not an antichrist. All authority comes from God as Our Lord Jesus Christ said to Pilate. Fallen man is still given authority. Our Lord even commended the faith of the Roman centurion who understood that if Christ but say the word, his servant would be healed. A greater faith Christ had not found in Israel.

That being said, Our Lord established the office of Peter to "feed My sheep" as He put it. 264 men have held that Petrine office (good, bad, and indifferent), and this links me with the Jesus Christ of history. If in the wisdom of men, our U.S Constitution needed a supreme interpreter (Supreme Court) then would not God in His infinite wisdom foresee the need for a supreme interpreter of Divine truths.
Indeed He did, and He gave Peter the power to bind and lose on earth and in heaven. This is but a mirror of the authority Our Saviour rules with in heaven. Christ is still the head of His Body, the Church. But He is the INVISIBLE head. Being material creatures, He kindly left us a VISIBLE head in Peter to rule His Church.

Cut this anti-catholic crap out now!! The same cabal that works to subvert our nation has also subverted the catholic church from within. And another thing....it was a catholic council which decided which ancient writings were "Bible", so protestants STILL rely on catholic teaching in this regard. Time to wake up, and reprove the works of darkness whether in Church OR state.
