YOU re read the Constitution!!!
WHATEVER GEORGIE PORGIE DOES TO OR WITH THE BILL, Congress HAS
TO BE IN SESSION FOR IT TO BECOME LAW; IF OUT OF SESSION, THE
BILL DIES.
If the bill is given to the "president" he MUST return it within
10 days whether signed or not signed.
If Congress is STILL in session (which in this case it WAS
NOT--the 2nd session of the 109th congress had adjourned on
9/29/06 to reconvene at 2pm (eastern) on November 9, 2006--if
the "president" DOES NOT sign the bill and returns it while
Congress is still in session, THEN it becomes law.
IF Congress is NOT in session (which is the case here) the bill
is DEAD, whether he signs it OR not.
Congress was NOT in session when Georgie Porgie signed the
Military Commissions Act of 2006.
Georgie Porgie signed the Bill that in effect was dead at the
time of his signing, on Tuesday, 10/17/06.
It is just that simple; he signed a worthless bill, proclaimed
it law and NOW someone needs to address this through the U.S.
Supreme Court, not only with a writ to be heard BUT also by
filing an "injunction" to stop its application on ANYONE!!!
This should be where our "checks and balances" within our
government and Constitution comes into play.
PLEASE do YOUR research before correcting me.
The Consitution is very clear in Article I, Section 7(1).
