A lifetime of greed and grift has culminated into quite a showdown: Dick Cheney vs. The American People.

No matter the outcome, Cheney, in a sense has already won…

- He got his illegal war and the series of wars that will follow.

- He got his industry-authored, pro-tumor, anti-environment energy policy bereft of any oversight.

- He got the wealth of the US Treasury handily transferred into the coffers of a select few corporations.

- And he gets to place two corporatist justices on the Supreme Court to help ensure that we the people will feel his suffocating presence long after he’s gone.

So what are we doing here? Simple. We are fighting to make sure that these robber barron-esque, treasonous tactics do not get hidden from history.

The same thugs who prolonged Viet Nam, brought you Iran Contra and stole Iraq shouldn’t be welcomed back into high positions power again. A war criminal is a war criminal…even if he claims to be on your side.
