TERRI SCHIAVO TO DIE IN ATTORNEY'S "DEATH FACTORY"?
SUNCOAST HOSPICE BOSS WAS GEORGE FELOS...

For Michael Schiavo, George J. Felos,

and the Board of Directors of

"The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast",

it seems that Terri Schiavo's death cannot come soon enough -

and unless the American public can persuade the courts to rule otherwise, Terri will die"""

Protecting Patients’ Privacy
You may recently have been asked to read and sign a HIPAA privacy notice when you visited a health care provider. The document represents the latest segment of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, now simply called HIPAA.

HIPAA is Congress’ effort to make health insurance for individuals portable nationwide and at the same time, protect privacy and reduce health care fraud and abuse. HIPAA protects all health information that identifies individuals, including electronic records, paper records and spoken communication. For our hospice and many others, HIPAA simply reinforces our already strong commitment to our patients and their privacy.

“We are now and always have been committed to protecting patient information because it is just the right thing to do,” said Betty Oldanie, The Hospice’s vice president of planning. “We have created a detailed notice of HIPAA’s privacy practices to help our patients understand and exercise their rights. It is available to all patients and posted on our Web site,” she added. If you have questions or need information about HIPAA at The Hospice, please visit thehospice.org or contact Betty Oldanie at (727) 586-4432.
