Hi Lisa..
I've written a letter below. Although I understand that your letters are absolutely drenched with emotions, ranging from total disbelief and sadness to incredible anger and disgust, it is most important to remember that the media, in particular, will "skim" your emails... in particular if they feel it is a rant or rambling.
At the risk of hurting your feelings which certainly is not my intentions, you have to cut your letters down to size.

Letters to the group are one thing, but to say "hey copy and paste it from below" but the "below" is twenty minutes of emotional pleas, which they won't be interested in, rather than a minute of bare bones info, this will only make them skim the letters, ultimately missing the most important information you have to offer.
Carol and I talked about it, and we talked with our dad and our husbands as well.

When Carol showed the letters to her husband, who is in the corporate world, his opinion was as we had both felt in that is "the media won't finish reading it because it's emotional ramblings." I wholeheartedly believe that a "short and (not so) sweet" email, posing questions to which they should DEMAND answers would be the best and only approach to take.

As difficult as that may be, we have to put emotions aside. I honestly believe that if we cannot do that, and present FACTS and the means of obtaining those facts, we will fight a losing battle. Those people who think she is in a vegatative state or that she should "be allowed to die peacefully" have been lead astray by our media. In order for those same people, which includes the vast majority of the media, to get the REAL truth and the FACTS... THAT is exactly what we must strive to give them. That... and nothing more.

Having said that, I will play devil's advocate as well. They do need the facts. However... being that it IS the media we are talking about here, they also want "the dirt." So, rather than say "Schiavo did this..." or "Felos is an ass..." or "The money was spent on..." or "Crist should have..." or that "Greer was not..." we absolutely must put our mindset to 'baiting' (if you will) the media.

They want the dirt. The facts are secondary. I think after you read the following letter that *I* suggest to send, you will see the "baiting" to which I've referred. My suggested letter states several facts... and then it baits the media to dig for the truth, posing a number of questions for which I am sure they would love to have "the dirt."
See what you think... And PLEASE know I am doing my best not to be insulting. That's not my intention! My only concern is making the media want to know and portray the truth! Wemust keep it to the point for those reasons.

as avidavits from medical professionals regarding Terri's
true condition.
