NEWSBRIEF: " A Monster Sales Bonanza: Halloween Unmasked As Retailer's Delight" The Providence Journal-Bulletin, 10/30/96, P. E-1. "Halloween has become one of the biggest retail holidays of the year, behind only Christmas and Easter in sales. Gruesome masks, clever costumes, scary audio tapes, haunting decorations, and of course, candy sales are all behind the increase in Halloween sales. Stores that specialize in Halloween items are cashing in on the holiday's commercial popularity." Gary Garabedian, owner of Halloween Headquarters in the Warwick Mall, opened for business right after Labor Day this year, and has about 14 people working for him in the store.
"For us, every year we do more business, I think primarily because we specialize", [owner Garabedian said ... One reason behind the increase in Halloween sales is the boom in adult costumes and masks. The National Retail Federation estimates that people will spend at least $2.5 billion on Halloween, much of it by grownups. Eighty percent of all Halloween costume rentals and 65 percent of costume sales are for adults ..."
"Garabedian said that a lot of local nightclubs have Halloween costume contests, and that costume parties at houses the weekend before Halloween and on Halloween night are increasingly popular, along with Halloween office parties."
This popularity of Halloween in America today is disheartening to the Born Again Christian, because it represents the antithesis of everything for which we stand. Jesus Christ emphasized life here on earth, saying, "I have come that ye may have life, and have it more abundantly". (John 10:10) But, Halloween is the celebration of the Dead, and of the Living Dead. When the Rock band, "The Grateful Dead" became popular, and stayed enormously popular, I knew America was turning toward Satan down deep in her soul. Because you see, while we Christians think it very normal, and desirable, to yearn to start spending eternity with Jesus Christ, so the Satanist yearns to walk through that doorway called Death, to begin spending time with Lord Satan. Now, at this point, I will get email from people saying that, just because they like Jerry Garcia and his Grateful Dead does not mean they are worshipping Satan, or that they are Satanists. Such people will be half-right in that assertion. I grant you that they do not overtly worship Satan. But, Satan is not called "The Great Deceiver" for nothing. Ponder carefully the Words of Jesus Christ, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other." (Matthew 6:24) "He that is not with me is against me;" (Matthew 12:30). If you are not serving the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart, mind, and soul and are Born Again as He requires, you are serving Satan.
The most telling aspect of the Rock scene that identifies it as from Satan is its emphasis on Death symbols and imagery. God foretold, "But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death." (Proverbs 8:36) All those people who walk far from God will begin to love and to court death. The farther they walk from God, the more they gravitate toward death. Therefore, you can place great spiritual significance in the death imagery of the Rock industry. And, you can sit up to take notice at the great popularity of Halloween at this point in American history. After all, this phenomenon is not occurring in a vacuum; America is preparing to move into the Kingdom of Antichrist, the New World Order, so its people have to be prepared to accept his Satanic values. No, they have to go further than just "accept" his values, they have to be conditioned to "love" Satan's values. Halloween popularity is proof positive that this value shift has occurred.
Let us return, for the moment, to the discussion about how Halloween is the antithesis of Biblical Christianity. Halloween is also the worship of Nature. Please consider this article, "Pagan Halloween Organizers Claim No Need To Worry", The Sun Chronicle, 10/30/96, P. 5. "Celebrants will form a circle and invoke the dead, but there will be nothing sinister about the pagan celebration of the 'Samhain' holiday on Halloween, organizers say. 'We'll be remembering our ancestors and loved ones who have passed on to the other world,' Lynn Dube said ... The City Council, with a 5-3 vote last month, allowed the celebration at Plug Pond this Thursday after organizers sought to convince councilors and residents that they would not be worshipping the devil or sacrificing animals ... Dube and her husband, Ed, are practitioners of the Wiccan religion and owners of the business Magick 'n' Mail, which sells items used in pagan rituals. They said they were asked by other practitioners to organize a public celebration of the Wiccan new year. Plug Pond was chosen because the religion is nature-based and outdoor ceremonies are preferred."
Wiccan is nature based, a worship of nature, primarily the four sacred elements Air, Water, Fire, and Earth. Therefore, Wiccans and all other occult groups, worship the Created World, rather than the Creator, in violation of Romans 1:21-25, "when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. .. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." The Wiccans may say they are worshipping God through Nature, but not Nature. That is simply not true. They worship Nature as God, in fact, believing in many gods, mankind being one of them.
Third, Halloween is one of the eight (8) sacred Sabbats, or Sabbaths, in the Pagan calendar. Just for your edification, I have listed these eight Sabbaths for you, below.
1) February 2 Imbolg, or Candlemas also known as Ground Hog Day. The Earth Mother, or goddess, seasonally dead, feels within her womb the first festal stirring of spring.
2) March 21 Ostara, also known as Spring Equinox. Light and dark are in perfect balance, as the Sun crosses the equator and day and night are the same length. Pagans believe that the light, symbolic of the goddess, is now gaining strength and will eventually overcome the horned god.
3) May 1 Beltaine, also called Walpurgisnacht or Roodmass. This is why the Communists have always celebrated May 1, which they call May Day. Communism was never actually Atheistic; it has always been Satanic to its core. Remember, Karl Marx was a practicing Satanist.1 [For a more complete analysis of this most interesting subject, read NEWS1007, "Thesis x Antithesis = Synthesis"] Beltaine is celebrated as a symbol of fertility, the reincarnation of the goddess. The high priestess of a coven will reign for the next 6 months as the goddess. A crown is placed on her head, a ceremony known as "Drawing Down The Moon".
4) June 22 Litha, or Summer Solstice. The Sun god is at his strongest, highest, brightest, and longest enabling him to conquer the evil power of darkness, allowing fertility to come to the land. Remember, the Satanist reveres the land greatly, even over individual humans, because humans owe their life to the sacred land.
5) August 1 Lughnasadh, also known as Lammas. Witches will bring offerings to the gods to celebrate the harvest they are receiving, and to appease the gods to continually sustain the fertility of the earth.
6) September 21 Mabon, also known as Autumn Equinox. The strength of the horned god is increasing and the light, symbolized as the goddess, is decreasing. This is the other day when perfect balance between day and night is achieved.
7) October 31 Samhain, also known as Halloween, the most holy and powerful of the Sabbaths. The high priest of the coven begins his reign for the next six months. During the ceremony, the high priest will wear a crown in a ceremony known as "Drawing Down The Sun. The horned god will physically indwell him [demonic possession]. During this time, Satanists believe that the barriers which separate this world from the spirit world are at their 'thinnest', so this is the most opportune time to contact someone from beyond this world. This is one of the best days to utilize the powers of the occult. The great horned god is a symbol of Satan himself. Halloween is simply and only the glorification of Satan.
8) December 22 Yule, also known as Winter Solstice2
"Sabbaths are meetings in which a witch's coven or covens will join to perform magic rites and ceremonies ... All the meanings of the Sabbath revolve around the central figures in the occult -- the goddess and the horned god, their reincarnation back into life, their reign while in the world, and their death are encompassed in the Sabbaths."3
God established the Sabbath as a time in which He is to be uniquely worshipped, so it is both a counterfeit and an insult to worship Satan on these Sabbats. but, Halloween is the ultimate worship of Satan. How, then, can a nation which has traditionally glorified God through the New Testament principles of Jesus Christ, come so far as to wallow in the slop of glorifying Satan, on his most holy and powerful day, Halloween?
The answer will both shock you and enlighten you!! Please ponder carefully what we are about to share with you, for you will finally understand why America is in the deep spiritual trouble which we see all around us, and why we can lead the nations of the world into the worship of Antichrist.
America has removed its formerly Christian Values Foundation, replacing it with a Satanic Values Foundation. Did you know that a person who wants to be initiated into Satanism will be required to pass through three (3) distinct steps of Initiation, steps which will take place over a period of weeks or months, before that person can be formally initiated into the Satanic coven.
The three Stages Of Satanism are:
1a. SELECTION EVALUATION --- Select people who possess the following personal characteristics:
Devoid of a moral conscience.
Considered themselves to `be with it' Smug, arrogant
Vaguely dissatisfied with their experiences.
Dissatisfied with their environment.
Possessed a peculiar kind of instability which makes them ripe for drugs, witchcraft, crimes.
Must have some fear about something.
Have to have a certain amount of guts, courage, yet also a moral weakness.
1b. SELECTION INVITATION- Invite the people who were selected according to the above criteria to a wild, uninhibited party. At this party, alcohol and drugs will flow freely, and sex is so wild and uninhibited that most people are completely caught up in the thrill and uniqueness of it. If there are both male and female initiates present, the coven will require that both male and female coven members will be present. The sex at these parties, orgies actually, is planned to be so terrific that the uninitiated are completely consumed by the thrill of it, and can only think of when they can do it again. Several of these parties are planned, so that all the moral inhibitions that the uninitiated may have possessed are thoroughly broken down and destroyed. Sex, drugs, and alcohol all work their 'magic' to destroy these inhibitions. But, drugs work a special magic, in that they "open a person's 'Third Eye' to expand their spiritual consciousness" so they can accept the doctrines which will be shortly presented to them. Drugs are absolutely essential to properly expanding an individual's consciousness, to move them away from the old values, beliefs, and spiritual understandings, and to move them solidly into the Satanic understandings they will be taught. Without drug use, usually a lot of drug use, there can be no Satanism. Without drug use, people simply cannot achieve the 'consciousness expansion' so necessary to whatever brand of the occult in which a person may be involved, including the New Age.
2a. INTRODUCTION TO WITCHCRAFT EVALUATION -- Those potential members who were properly eager in their participation in Stage One were then invited to participate in Stage Two.
2b. MILD INTRODUCTION TO WITCHCRAFT -- "...the meetings were pretty mild.." Simple doctrines are taught. A lot of blasphemy against Jesus Christ is proclaimed by the coven members who then watch carefully to see if the uninitiated are properly enthusiastic about blaspheming also.
3a. INITIATION EVALUATION -- People who take the second stage seriously are then invited into the Third Stage. At each stage, a full evaluation of each of the uninitiated by mature members of the coven is performed, to ensure that only people who truly have no affection for Jesus Christ and no inhibitions left, will proceed to the stage of actually being initiated into the coven.
3b. ACTUAL INITIATION as a full-fledged member of the coven. The initiation ceremony is complete with all the elements associated with witchcraft.
Correct formulas are pronounced.
Member is forced to sign his/her name in the official coven member's book with his own blood.
The new member was then assigned to a `mature' member for in-depth discipleship.
This country, as a collective group, has undergone these exact steps, in recent history!! For those of you who grew up in the 1960's and early 1970's, hold on to your hat, for you are going to understand something about America you have never understood before. Now, all those crazy events from 1965-1975 are going to make some sense.
Consider how these steps into Satanism precisely correlate to America's recent history.
In 1965, many people seemed:
1). Devoid of a moral conscience.
2). Dissatisfied with their lives in particular and with America in general.
3). The general attitude of those who were protesting during this period was one of smugness and self-admiration. They "knew the score". And, they despised those who disagreed with them!
4). The entire scene seemed to possess instability, which made its participants ripe for "drugs, witchcraft, and crimes that went along with it". The signature crime which identified this era seemed to be the murder of eight nurses in Chicago on July 14, 1966, by Richard Speck. This case was so unusual, that Bill Martin, chief prosecutor for the Cook County state attorney's office, asserted, "This case, in a sense, defined an era... It ended the sense of security, even naivete, of the American public about the presence of evil and what evil was capable of."
Evil began its explosion here.
5). Fear of nuclear war grew steadily.
6). War protesters during this era demonstrated courage in the face of the American legal system; yet, they also exhibited personal moral weakness. Usage of alcohol and drugs exploded among the young, and sex moved out into the open.
We should, if our premise is true, then expect America to participate in a series of orgy-type parties, as she moved into, and through, Step One of the standard Three-Step Initiation Process.
Consider the setting in the mid-1960's: drugs and alcohol were consumed in a seemingly endless stream; sex became very open and uninhibited, both in private parties and in public pornography. Many Americans seemed completely caught up in the uniqueness and the
