Treason

It's a harsh word. So harsh a word that the founders sought to severely limit the scope of what could be called treason. Let's look at the constitutional definition.

Article III, Section 3, United States Constitution: "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court."

John McCain has never been a friend of the gun rights community. However, some of his latest alliances are startling, such as the alliance with Carolyn McCarthy, Edward Kennedy and Charles Schumer on the "Our Lady of Peace" Act, which would disarm or make criminals ex post facto out of millions of Americans. He seeks to expand the Instacheck process, not ban it altogether as the Constitution requires. He regards all gun owners, not as first defenders of the homeland as the founders regarded them, but as "potential terrorists" who need to be stopped. He seeks to cripple gun show sales and private citizen sales.

This is the very reason the Second Amendment was written: to provide for the first defenders of the nation to be able to act on a moment's notice. Gun control undermines the ability of the first defenders to react. It therefore gives aid and comfort to the People's enemies. It is not just bad politics to support the gun measures John McCain supports. It is treason.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

"But WAIT, there's MORE!" as the old commercial says.

McCain is promoting a guest worker program to appease corporate America at a time when too many Americans are unemployed or underemployed. He has continually supported the rights of illegal immigrants above and beyond the rights of American citizens. He has continually supported policies which aid and abet illegal immigration. To such a great extent that it has become a literal war at the border.

"A war", you ask? "Surely, that is an exaggeration!"

No, it's not. Illegal immigration in Arizona is a mostly an organized criminal enterprise, with coyotes getting paid large sums of money to bring foreign nationals illegally into the country. Often, these coyotes are aligned with drug traffickers trying to smuggle narcotics into the United States. These people have shot at and killed Border Patrol agents. And often, large corporations will covertly hire these illegals: Retailer TJMaxx was recently discovered to have a U.S. factory with half its workforce comprised of illegals, some 250 people. This is more and more becoming the rule.

Levying war against the United States. Adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. Treason. We are not talking about the occasional foreign nanny or occasional single illegal border crosser. We are talking about aiding and abetting an invasion of America, theft of American jobs, and violence against Americans.

Any corporation that does business this way is committing treason against the United States. Any law enforcement officer who fails to turn over a suspect in custody that he knows to be in the country illegally is committing treason. And any politician seeking to take the side of illegal Mexican immigrants and the criminals who help them come, over and above the side of American citizens, is committing treason.

And John McCain is smack dab in the middle of it all.

----------------------------------------------------------------

And what about national sovereignty? McCain is promoting a "Climate Stewardship Act" which operates on the premise of checking "global warming", all with international accords that dismantle our sovereignty on the false premise of protecting the environment. He would betray our national sovereignty by making Americans slaves to foreign treaties

Moreover, he has supported all of the "Fatherland Security" measures such as the PATRIOT Act which strips Americans of long guarded liberties. It is these civil liberties and values, not the government, which is the real America. Which is the real United States. And John McCain has totally and utterly betrayed the REAL United States.

McCain, of course, was a heroic soldier who became a POW for five years in Viet Nam. You would think his treachery would not extend to his fellow comrades in arms, of all people. But alas, it does. McCain has all but turned his back on his fellow missing POW's who were abandoned by Washington. And if he would turn his back on THEM, you'd better believe he'll turn his back on you.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

John McCain can be sent packing in 2004. He will never darken the door of patriotic Americans ever again. If patriotic Americans will vote in unison for Liz Michael.

Liz Michael is one of the most consistent gun rights advocates to ever run for office. She scores consistently in the near 100% range on gun issues. On her website, LizMichael.com, she offers personal commentary and commentary from guest columnists supporting gun rights. She is, at the same time, a pragmatist, and a purist. Pragmatically arguing for the rights to concealed carry permits nationally, but puristically recognizing that the constitutional ideal is that no citizen should need the permission of the government to keep and bear arms.

Additionally, Liz Michael argues for genuine liberation of the people, from both government power and corporate greed. She defends our national sovereignty. She opposes illegal immigration.

John McCain raised a million dollars this summer at a big Republican fundraiser. Even though he bills himself as a maverick, and does have "some" issues on which he is good, and does try to at least look like a populist, he didn't get all that money so quickly by being a maverick. There is an agenda behind the funding.

This is not an election where patriotic Americans can afford to put party loyalty above the Constitution of the United States. This is not an election where benign concepts such as the "balance of power" can be allowed to hold sway. Liz Michael, elected to the United States Senate, would represent a quantum shift in the balance of power, all by herself, where most politicians have already resorted to some manner of treason. In terms of a "maverick", Liz Michael would make John McCain look like a Tory.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

But how in the world can Liz pull this off, you may ask? It's simple.

On many issues facing Arizonans, John McCain is traditionally wrong. He is wrong on gun control. He is wrong on immigration. He is wrong on POW's. He is wrong on the environment.

Liz Michael is right on those issues.

And it is as simple as that.

Here's what you can do to preserve freedom in Arizona, and get Liz Michael elected in 2004:

Commit to the most generous contribution you can make. The largest contribution an individual can make is $2,000 per election, and there will be two elections in this cycle. That's $4,000 total. A married couple can donate $8,000 between them. Political Action Committees can contribute more. That sounds like a lot of money.

But even small contributions add up.

If you are concerned about having your identity revealed in campaign reports, please be advised that you can contribute up to $249 to a candidate and never be revealed on federal campaign reports. No one need know.

Additionally, if you contribute to the campaign in silver dollars, legally, you are only giving the campaign "One Dollar" per coin.

Contributions in this quarter help to establish Liz's viability in the eyes of those who consider viability a big deal. And even $25, $50 and $100 contributions really do make a difference. Additionally, significant contributions to Liz's campaign will seriously deflect any attempt by anti-gunners to field their own mediocre candidate and try to sabotage Liz in the primary.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

How can Liz possibly win?

In Arizona, for Democrats to win statewide office, they must contrast with the Republican and draw crossover votes from Republicans. To do that, they must appeal to key portions of the Republican constituency. Janet Napolitano did that and so did Terry Goddard. On two key issues that most Republicans hold dear, gun control and immigration, Liz Michael is right, and John McCain is wrong, and it is really that simple. On the issue of American sovereignty, something a goodly number of Republicans and conservatives care about, Liz Michael is right and John McCain is wrong. That is how Liz Michael can win, and that is why Liz Michael can win.

Can John McCain be beaten within his own party or by an independent or Libertarian? Both are very unlikely, unless the independent candidate has serious megabucks to override the party machinery and registration advantage which the two parties always have. And it is very difficult to take out an incumbent in his own party's primary.

But funding is not enough. Liz also needs you to donate your time. Specifically, signatures need to be gathered from several counties, and this work will commence at the beginning of the year. This is a statewide effort, and Liz cannot be all places at once. Additionally, Liz will need you to help get this message out on the internet. Liz also needs to develop a local "posse" for each county and community in Arizona. These are people who will accompany Liz to all local events and help coordinate them.

Moreover, if you are not registered in a political party, it will help Liz immensely if you reregister within the Democratic Party to sign Liz's petition and to vote for her in the primary. We understand some Republicans will be hesitant to cross party lines and reregister as Democrats to get Liz elected. But if you are not committed to a partisan Republican organization, and there are no contested primaries in your district, registering as a Democrat to get Liz elected might be a good strategic sacrifice to make. Of course, you Democrats and liberals who support gun rights have the greatest duty of all to bring the Democratic Party back into alignment with true civil liberties and freedom.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But Liz needs this help sooner rather than later. Without contributions and volunteers NOW, she'll never be able to get to November 2, 2004. So please give. And here is where to give:
