60 Minutes II broadcast an interview with the Intelligence Analyst that reported directly to Powell last night.

(CBS) The person responsible for analyzing the Iraqi weapons threat for Colin Powell says the Secretary of State misinformed Americans during his speech at the U.N. last winter.

Greg Thielmann tells Correspondent Scott Pelley that at the time of Powell’s speech, Iraq didn’t pose an imminent threat to anyone – not even its own neighbors. “…I think my conclusion [about Powell’s speech] now is that it’s probably one of the low points in his long distinguished service to the nation,” says Thielmann.

Pelley’s report will be broadcast on 60 Minutes II, Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Thielmann also tells Pelley that he believes the decision to go to war was made first and then the intelligence was interpreted to fit that conclusion. “…The main problem was that the senior administration officials have what I call faith-based intelligence,” says Thielmann.
“They knew what they wanted the intelligence to show. They were really blind and deaf to any kind of countervailing information the intelligence community would produce. I would assign some blame to the intelligence community and most of the blame to the senior administration officials.”

I watched the interview and additional sources were interviewed as well. Some UN analysts and others, all concluding that there were no WMD and no reason to believe there were any.

While watching this program I couldn't help but think about the 2nd Amendment being the only thing that has prevented the government of the U.S. from attacking Americans openly on a vast scale (and lying about that too). As the program replayed many parts of Colin Powell's UN speech, and lie after lie was exposed by a first hand eyewitness that also stated it was his opinion that the moment of the speech was a low point for Powell in an otherwise illustrious career, I couldn't keep from wondering just how many Bush supporters would view this program an remain supportive.

I've never seen anything like what is currently going down. I mean these liars and murderers have refused congressional investigations into 9-11, their corporate buddies have been signed up for billions of dollars worth of contracts without a bidding process, American boys have been killed as well as many innocent Iraqi's and all of the foregoing based upon Iraq being an imminent threat (remember 45 minutes to launch nuclear attack upon the Iraqi neighbors), which it is pretty well concluded today that Iraq was never a threat to us or their neighbors. It actually appears that Saddam had given up his intentions of building WMD's.

If we as an astute body of people consider the alarming fact that no defense aircraft were launched for over an hour and a half on 9-11, that the Bush Administration went on CIPRO (to counteract Anthrax) on 9-11, that the third highest CIA Official (Buzzy Krongard) had been the previous owner of an investment firm that just happened to make millions by placing put options into effect just 2 days prior to the attacks, specifically against United and American Airlines, and now we learn the attack on Iraq was instituted without any real evidence that they were supportive of the attack upon us, nor did they have WMD, It sort of makes all of the hoopla about the stained blue dress pale in comparison. But it really points out how stupid the American public is when it serves their petty interests to be ignorant.

And finally, when "w" says that if we are not for him we are against him, let me scream that I am against him, I will always be against him and his cabal of jew thugs that serve up the spin daily, and further I am against every moron that continues to support the butcher of Baghdad, George Bush.

Personally, I have a very difficult time believing the 9-11 scenario as presented to us by the media mopes. I can't believe that 19 Arabs came out of their caves, got on all of those aircraft without their names ever being placed upon the flight manifests. Then, with military precision, they flew them through the most protected airspace on planet earth and into the WTC and Pentagon. Then Condi Rice immediately states that "we never expected any attack of this nature" ... and later it is stated that the Pentagon was running defense drill that morning based upon a similar type of attack, therefore they didn't launch defense aircraft. What were they practicing for ... failure ?

Bush should be impeached ... first. And then he and his henchmen should be tried for treason and sedition, found guilty and hung.
