The reconstruction of New Orleans is being run by Halliburton, who in their infinite generosity and caring so much for the good of America, is hiring mostly illegal aliens from Mexico to do most of the work, for $5 per hour. Halliburton is being given the equivelent of $20 per hour for each worker. That's your tax dollars at work! And most of these illegal immigrants will stay there once construction is complete. In other words, we are rebuilding New Orleans so it can become a Mexican city just like Los Angeles. The traitors in Congress, the Senate and the White House know EXACTLY what they are doing. This is just another one of the globalist master plans to undermine and destroy America. Perhaps New Orleans will be renamed Nuevo Orleans?
Once again, the same massive corporations that have screwed up the Iraq reconstruction, screwed up numerous US projects, and been fined for overcharges and wage and safety violations, have been rewarded by the government. This time Bush gave these corporations an extra benefit, they won’t even have to pay prevailing wages. I imagine their defense would be that Gulf Coast residents didn’t return which is why we will need illegal immigrants, which is of course a total lie. The greedy elitists at the top will take as much for themselves, pay as little as possible, and to hell with principle, or what's right for America. They don't want Americans who would demand a living wage. They want illegals who will work for minimum wage or less. But that's the thinking behind Bush and the other toads doing everything they can to tear down what's left of that festering wound called the border with Mexico.
The same old mafia players from the same crime families are stealing billions from "We the People", and destroying our economy and culture in the process. It makes you long for Al Capone, Bugsy Seigal, John Gotti. At least those people had some class, and they didn't pretend to be anything but what they were. Can anyone believe we still have a few neocon talk show hosts implying that it's "unpatriotic" to criticize the president in a time of war? Many others have given up trying to defend this open border, big government, big corporation, globalist traitor. Even they can't deny what we have known all along anymore. Halliburton stock options held by Dick Cheney rose 3,281% since October 2004. The options were worth $241,498, now they are worth $8 million. Halliburton has already raked in more than $10 billion from the "work" in Iraq, and they have been awarded the Katrina contracts. Their Oil and Drug Company buddies are also reaping record profits. They see the $$$$ signs dancing in their heads, and they are going for them, Big Time.
As far as New Orleans is concerned, insanity has been defined as doing the same thing again and expecting a different result. The proposed reconstruction of New Orleans seems to fit this definition. When New Orleans was originally built, the military engineers recommended against locating it between the river and the lake, and the city was flooded by hurricanes each year for its first four years. An increasingly extensive system of levees had prevented most catastrophes. Then came hurricane Katrina. New Orleans is sinking at the rate of one inch per year, and hurricanes are becoming more numerous and severe. Holding the waters at bay is a losing game that would require us to keep throwing good money after bad.
New Orleans managed to dodge bullets for years which is quite incredible in itself. But you don't bet human lives and billions or trillions of US taxpayer dollars on the chance that it won't happen again. Do we want to repeat that again 5 years from now? On the other hand, if New Orleans is being designed by the globalists to be inhabited my illegal aliens, then perhaps a hurricane that washes them back to Mexico would be a silver lining after all. Let's just hope one hits Washington DC at the same time, and does us all a favor.
