We (Ed Bruning, Peymon Mottahedeh and Stephen Massoth) have successfully thwarted an illegal IRS levy on a Citizen of the New Mexico Republic.

Previously, the IRS inundated this freedom lover with telephone calls and notices in a determined effort to collect from him a bogus $15,000 "income tax liability."

Getting nowhere, the IRS, in deliberate violation of collection due process laws, sent a phony "Notice of Levy" to the freedom lover's employer in an attempt to garnish the individual's wages.

The Appeals Officer was barraged with facts and evidence proving that the requirements of any applicable laws and administrative procedures were NOT met, in fact, the assessment of the tax was just as fraudulent as the illegal attempt to collect it! Finally, the Appeals Officer was persuaded that truth and freedom had prevailed.

In her Notice of Determination, the Appeals Officer used terms like, "there is no valid assessment," "administrative procedures were not followed," and, "a levy should not have been served." The Appeals Notice concluded with the following:

"The levy will be released and the assessed tax will be abated!" According to the IRS, the freedom lover now owes the IRS NOTHING, let alone $15,000!!

The attorneys for the employer, here in Albuquerque and in Dearborn, MI, got an education and have been rudely awakened regarding the illegal lien and levy process initiated by the IRS!

We are now in the process of aiding a local dentist regarding the same illegal practices performed by the IRS.
