Do you remember reading in your histories of World War II about the
concentration camps set up by Hitler and Stalin? They incarcerated many of
their citizens without benefit of due process , because of the peoples'
political beliefs and racial ancestry, and because they were suspected of
presenting some sort of vague danger to the country.
Well its being proposed here too and in Clark County Nevada.
Civilian internment camps or prison camps, more commonly known as
concentration camps, have been the subject of much investigations and
speculation during the past few years in America. Several publications have
devoted space to the topic and many talk radio programs have dealt with the
issue.
According to the Las Vegas Sun news report, Clark County Commissioner and
Sheriff Bill Young wants to develop a Nazi type concentration tent camp to
house prostitutes and minor law offenders. In addition they want to
establish it over a sewer dump site.
Sheriff Bill Young and County Commission Chairman Rory Reid are recommending
that a temporary, 400-bed jail be built on the grounds of the county's
sewage treatment plant, off Vegas Valley Drive and Flamingo Road.
While there is no clear vision yet of what this modular jail would look
like, it could be on the order of a tent-like structure, divided into
individual dormitory-style rooms. There, the petty offenders, will be held
for days, weeks or possibly months subjecting them to possible sicknesses
received from living over a sewer dump site and ultimately violating there
civil and human rights.
If history has taught us anything, that the memory of those who have laid so
costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom to free prisoners of the Nazi
Death camps must not have died in vein. US Citizens of Nevada cannot allow
people like Bill Young or Rory Reid to establish such concentration camps in
Clark County. This form of Terrorism by elected officials must not happen.
This screams ABUSE.
