9/11 - Bush administration is STILL lyingSun Sep 10, 2006 17:23The day before the 5th anniversary of 9/11
the Bush administration is STILL lying,
and saying that Saddam Hussein had a relationship with Al Qaeda.
Happened Sunday Sept. 10, 2006. Unbelievable, but true!
Bush has to go before we can make any sustainable progress in the USA.
Only public opinion and/or a Democratic Congress can stop funds for Iraq.
The new book "Hubris", and the Senate report that just came out, blow
Bush's Iraq war lies right out of the water. Many more details:

Rice: ‘There Were Ties Going On Between Al Qaeda And Saddam Hussein’
Today on Fox News Sunday, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice repeated the false assertion that Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda had a relationship before the 2003 invasion, despite the recent Senate Intelligence Report that found U.S. intelligence analysts strongly dispute that claim. Watch it:
Rice tried to pin the blame on then CIA Director George Tenet, saying he said, “there were ties going on between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein’s regime going back for a decade.” But in July, Tenet told the Senate Intelligence Committee that “the White House pressured him and that he agreed to back up the administration’s case for war despite his own agents’ doubts about the intelligence it was based on.”
Rice also tried to dismiss the Senate report as being after-the fact, stating, “Now, are we learning more now that we have access to people like Saddam Hussein’s intelligence services? Of course.” But as Wallace pointed out, a Defense Intelligence Agency report from Feb. 2002 — before the U.S. invasion — also concluded that Iraq and Al Qaeda had no relationship: “Iraq is unlikely to have provided bin Laden any useful CB, that’s chemical or biological, knowledge or assistance.” Rice said she did not remember seeing that report.
Full transcript below:
WALLACE: I want to discuss just one area, the issue of whether Iraq helped Al Qaeda with weapons of mass destruction. Here’s what the President said in October of 2002.
[BUSH VIDEO]: We’ve learned that Iraq has trained Al Qaeda members in bomb-making, in poisons, and deadly gases.
WALLACE: And in March 2003, just before the invasion, you said, talking about Iraq, “a very strong link to training Al Qaeda in chemical and biological techniques.” Secretary Rice, a Senate committee has just revealed that in February of 2002, months before the President spoke, more than a year, 13 months before you spoke, that the Defense Intelligence Agency concluded this, and let’s put it up on the screen: “Iraq is unlikely to have provided bin Laden any useful CB, that’s chemical or biological, knowledge or assistance.” Didn’t you and the President ignore intelligence that contradicted your case?
RICE: What the President and I and other administration officials relied on and — you simply rely on the Director of Central Intelligence. George Tenet gave that very testimony, that there were ties going on between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein’s regime going back for a decade. Indeed, the 9/11 Commission talked about contacts between the two. We know that Zarqawi was running a poisons network in Iraq. We know that Zarqawi ordered the killing of an American diplomat in Jordan from Iraq. There were ties between Iraq and Al Qaeda. Now, are we learning more now that we have access to people like Saddam Hussein’s intelligence services? Of course. We’re going to learn more.
WALLACE: Secretary Rice, this report — if I may, this report isn’t now. This isn’t after the fact. This was a Defense Intelligence Agency report in 2002. Two questions. First of all, did you know about that report before you made your statement?
RICE: Chris, we relied on the reports of the National Intelligence Office, the NIO, and of the DCI. That’s what the President and his central decisionmakers rely on.
WALLACE: Did you know about this report?
RICE: There are conflicting intelligence reports all the time. That’s why we have an intelligence system that brings those together into a unified assessment by the intelligence committee of what — community of what we’re looking at. That particular report I don’t remember seeing.

Fire this insane woman on the spot, before she inflicts any further damage on our nation.

Cheney is basically doing the exact same thing on Meet the Press. Tim is better than usual (which doesnt’ take much) is not letting Cheney get away with it. Cheney’s been a bit stifled by his questioning.
Comment by Joshua E. — September 10, 2006 @ 10:43 am
Tim seems a bit more tough with Cheney, he almost seems pissed that Cheney lied to him so many times. Tim is hitting him with the “greeted as liberators” routine, and Cheney might have just studdered. This man is evil and will go straight to hell.

Good to see she can keep playing the same tune….
If she could just learn catapulting. that would be great
Comment by koalablue — September 10, 2006 @ 10:52 am
So we are left with a quandry, who are we going to believe? Rice, Bush, Cheney…. or the CIA, FBI, 9/11 Commission, a Repulican based Senate Intelligence Committtee report….
When you are blatantly lied to once, wouldn’t you exercise some caution the next time around?
Or as the Decider mumbles…”Fool me once, er, ah, well hell, you know what I mean!”

Was this a lie or was she just being weasely?
I think there were contacts between Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, but Hussein hated bin Laden, no?

She’s lying and being weasly, far as I can figure. To move from “Saddam was providing al-Qaeda with substantial training in biological and chemical weapons manufacturing and use” to “al-Zarqawi was operating out of Iraq” and pretend you haven’t moved at all is disingenuous, unless you’re too dumb to tell the difference (which Rice isn’t).
Think about it: the first claim is that Hussein and al-Qaeda were coordinating paramilitary training and weapons manufacturing advice systematically and significantly. Depending on the seriousness and frequency of such alleged contact, that might well justify invading Iraq or at least bombing Iraq.
The second claim says nothing more than “al-Qaeda had operatives in Iraq.” That’s not a reason to invade Iraq. I mean, jeepers, al-Qaeda had and/or has operatives in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, etc etc. For that matter, they had a bunch of guys operating in the US–you know, planning 9/11. In fact, if you balance the the pre-war damage done by al-Qaeda in Iraq and al-Qaeda in the US, there’s a MUCH better case to be made for having invaded ourselves.

Condi Rice is lying about Saddam having had ties to Osama > they both hated each other big-time! The Bush Regime members are trying to foist this falsehood today, before the ABC/Disney phony docudrama is shown!

If Ms. Rice insists on living across the line of truth she may be in need of all the protection she can get. Perhaps she should change her name to Condom.

BEN-VENISTE: Isn’t it a fact, Dr. Rice, that the August 6 PDB warned against possible attacks in this country? And I ask you whether you recall the title of that PDB?
RICE: I believe the title was, “Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States.”
BEN-VENISTE: Thank you.

It was not bad intel that led to the Bush invasion of Iraq. It was bad leadership and judgement by Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld/Rice. They can never blame it on intel.

As I recall, the Repukelicans were in full battle cry about President Clinton lying about a blowjob and tried to find any justification for him lying to get him impeached. Now we have every damned one of the highest administration officials blatantly lying about a somewhat more serious issue (forcing a country to war and all its ramifications) and all is OK?

Fox News can’t even pig lipstick on this pig anymore.

Why are we surprised at her comments - She is where she is because she learned to play the “The Game”. Condoleeza is a bright, educated woman who has payed a price for success and that price is her integrity. She is only regurgitating what the administration demands of her. Shame on her for selling out, but that happened a long time ago.

If they knew all this about Tenet, why did Bush adorn him with medals, and why hasn’t anyone asked why he did so?

Rice can’t stop lying. Someone stop her. She’s out of control.
There seems to be a mental disorder afflicting all who occupy the White House — a kind of insanity that compels them to ignore facts and re-write history; they constantly lie to the public, and support their fellow liars in the White House asylum.

Recent predictions of a full-on right wing information campaign appear to be materializing, as Dr. Rice is called in to use her Doctorly powers and tell us how it is.

Rs sert let Cheney get away with saying that Zarqawi was in cahoots
with Sadaam, when the Intelligence Commitee report says just the opposite. Also that Sadaam compensated the families of suicide bombers –
leaving the impression that these were attackers against the US, when in
fact these were subsidies to Hezbullah or Hamas members; Russert didn’t
make him clarify this.

This kind of bs is to be expected one day before 9/11. They’ve dominated the airwaves this entire week, I guess they figure the more the message is told the better the brainwash, eh? They’re clearly desperate to keep their asses out of jail.

THERE IS PANIC IN THE WHITHE HOUSE
The loss of the house and better yet the senate could mean endless investigation and exposure of their machinations which could bring them long term jail.
Could it be they new in advance of the attack of 9/11 .It would not surprise me the least.

I see George (Speed Bump) Tenet has finally served his ultimate purpose — being thrown under the bus when Condi’s toes get a little close to the fire.
Condi must have gotten her copy of the Senate Intel Committee’s incomplete report…
She’s a cool liar, I gotta hand it to her, not even a hint of sweat on that upper lip.
