Dear Mr. President, Mr. Vice President, Governor Bush and
others:
Glad to see that a Vice Admiral Allen from the U.S. Coast Guard
has been placed in the recovery effort in New Orleans for
KATRINA purposes. Now to the removal of sludge and sewage clumps
from ALL OF NEW ORLEANS- My expertise and over 20 years of
experience handling and removing sewage a matter of record in
Florida and such is beneficial and knowledge perhaps valuable as
an American.
ROTO-ROOTER, ALL PLUMBING CONTRACTORS AND SEPTIC TANK
CONTRACTORS have the equipment you need to suck out this sludge
from manholes and one needs to concentrate on getting the sewage
systems pumping to barges and tankers or honey trucks from
grease and sewage/septic tank removal can take to sludge to
other areas/communities with running sewage treatment plants in
surrounding counties/states for dumping and treatment or
neutralization.
WELL OVER 1,500,000 people are on military, civilian and
pleasure vessels in the World right now and you flush food and
fecal matter and chemicals into the sea. The FISH population
seem to thrive on fecal mater deposited as these vessels are
traveling, working, in port or anchored. As a Navy man the best
time to fish was when Chow was being served in port! Small
particles of the days food on a hook would catch any number of
fish. POINT: Sewage has been dumped for Centuries at sea without
harm. I would encourage Vice Admiral Allen to bring in super
tankers and barges with Ocean Going tugs to pull these barges
out to sea or to deliver materials to super tankers which will
wash off later with seawater. Sludge can be loaded easily onto
barges and transfered to super tankers using any number of
methods as some four feet of sludge will have to be removed from
the cities. Engineers can check the canal depth and if not good
can ship materials to any PORT DOCKS standing where slides can
take the material into barges..
The SEABEES and ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS are capable of moving
large front end loaders into a position to load any number of
large transports which can be dumped instantly onto barges in
any area supporting same. Barges can be brought to the open
water then "Splash" goes the material at sea beyond the three
mile limit and possibly some 12 miles as the material can be
washed over the side using high pressure pumps with sea water
intakes.... 30 barges to start.
IF the superdome has to be torn down why not take the steel and
cut it into "WELDED STEEL SLIDE MATERIAL FOR DUMP TRUCKS TO
OFFLOAD OR DUMP DIRECTLY ONTO BARGES" Sort of like New York did
for the steel from 9/11. Barges can be towed instantly to sea
and dumped/pumped over the side or into larger super tankers for
the trips to dumping grounds at SEA where the fish population
will no doubt feed. LEAD or MERCURY.... do not know if these are
present and will contaminate the deep water reefs which are only
ONE DAY STEAMING FULL SPEED!
NOW for the additional sludge pumps. Vice Admiral Allen and his
Army counterparts are no doubt aware that sludge can easily be
pumped perhaps by 2 INCH pumps into long and very large PVC
PIPING set well below the 35 FOOT HEAD PUMPING LIMITS as the 4
feet or 5 feet sludge will leave 30 feet rising to large piping
which will gravity flow easily into barges which can be placed
over near the levee areas and pumping NOT STOPPED but barges
changed into position then pulled through to allow a tug to get
into position to pull the barge OUT into deep waters. Engineers
can support the PVC piping with trucks and cars abandoned until
the area is clear. Neat idea as we must support this PVC piping
which can be connected in MILES within a few hours with the crew
working hard. UNDERGROUND one could run the piping for a mile or
so then pump the materials for over the mile like water. NO
CEMENT JOINTS PUSH TOGETHER RUBBER O RING JOINTS UNDERGROUND
SEWER PIPE SCHEDULE 900 or so. Having served on the Ocean Going
Tug SARAH HAYES in 1974 taking phosphate loads to Houston then
picking up COAL for TECO plant in Tampa I can tell you the trip
is rather FAST.
PUMPS MUST BE PLACED INSIDE LARGE PIPING SECTIONS WITH 1 INCH
HOLES to prevent debris from clogging impellers steel
recommended and underground piping adequate.. QUICK CONNECT FIRE
HYDRANT DOUBLE EAR CONNECTORS CAN EASILY ALLOW COUPLING OF
OUTLET PIPING SUPPORTED 20 FOOT HIGH BY STACKED VEHICLES TO DUMP
GRAVITY INTO LONG RUN REQUIRED. SEALED RUNS CAN FLOAT ON TOP OF
THE WATER IF NECESSARY UNTIL THE WATER DROPS. LEAVE EXTRA SLACK
FOR SUCH RUNS LIKE WE DO IN DIRT... Any questions CALL!
As a State Certified Plumbing Contractor for Florida WE usually
have 1/4 inch fall per FOOT for gravity feeding of water and
sewage. Your engineers can tell you how close one must be to use
this effectively until areas can be cleared allowing large...
HUGE front end loaders to load hundreds of TRUCKS with rear dump
capability who can transport the sludge to those areas where the
steel SLIDES from perhaps SUPERDOME steel. Those ENGINEERS
working with VACTOR TRUCKS, LIFT STATION PUMPS AND TREMENDOUS
LENGTHS OF PIPING FROM 2 INCH TO 6 INCH CAN PUMP MANY MILES OF
WATER/SLUDGE INTO BARGES TO BE TAKEN OUT TO SEA. Check with Vice
Admiral Allen and those Old Veteran Plumbing Contractors and
Inspectors who approve the sewer installations for City or
County Government.
FOR MR. BROWN:
You aided the Mayor and Governor getting Military and help into
the areas. BRAVO ZULU Mr. Brown [Well done!] You started rescue
efforts in the greatest disaster this Nation has ever faced
since the GREAT FLOOD. GOD SPEED in your efforts in the future
and if you lied on your application then you should QUIT
immediately and support your President!

No calls Mr. President so I guess we can stay here as you have
not activated this old veteran. No call from Mayor of New
Orleans so this old former law enforcement officer can perhaps
stay here and keep working and sending these messages for
review. AMERICAN MILITARY WITH CIVILIAN CONTRACTORS WILL SOLVE
THE PROBLEMS! DO RETURN ALL PUMPS TO THE OWNERS---CLEANED FIRST
WITH SALT WATER THEN DECONTAMINATED WITH FRESH WATER AND
CHEMICALS. BURN THE PVC PIPING!
