DU is not a matter of controversy and hasn't been for many years. The Rand Corp was tasked to do a indepth study on the effects of DU back in the 1990s. The used subjects exposed to DU dust as well as still having DU shrapnel in thier bodies. The results can be found on the web. Basically it found no more radioactivity than that found in nature and at levels the human body can easy to deal with. If you think about it DU is the material that remains after the uranium is removed.

If you would search the internet and read the articles in wikipedia, i would not be so sure about that.

Google "Rand Corp study depleted uranium" You can read the entire study, how it was done, what the studies were and all the findings. I have read the entire study and it is in depth, and well done. Speaches on video or opinions without studies to back it up are not proof. Otherwise I could find many sources to prove the world is flat. But, I like Wikipedia, so I will look it up'

I looked up DU on Wiki, and I recognize not all people agree with the facts. Yet there was nothing I read that supported thier position. In fact I wasn't aware that another major study done by the AEC also found no reason to be concerned over exposure to DU. It seems to be an issue in the catagory of black helocopters and secret chemicals being spread by contrails in the sky.
