According to this article from the Shreveport Times (
http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050830/NEWS01/508300352/1002/NEWS ), FEMA OFFICIALS arrived at Barksdale Air Force Base on Saturday, August 28th, roughly two days BEFORE Katrina hit land. They were prepared to send in Louisiana National Guards. They knew about Katrina and did nothing to assist the people in harms way. My question is what were they doing during those two days BEFORE Katrina hit and what were they doing after Katrina left?
There are some reports that FEMA sabotaged the levees. I can't confirm nor deny these allegations. The main question again is why didn't FEMA act immediately to rescue the citizens of New Orleans?
Was this an experiment or what?
