It's been said, "The Lord works in mysterious ways."
I have been an advocate for the Homeless in Dallas for 2 1/2 years, and advocate for the mentally ill since my mother's suicide in 1970.
I hope you enjoy the following speech that I will give before the Dallas City Council this Wednesday. Dallas, a "New World Order" city.

The Homeless – Dallas’ Mirror
Presented By Rich Sheridan To The Dallas City Council

There are now at least 14,000 Registered Katrina Refugees/Homeless in Dallas. What about Dallas’ 1500 Street Homeless?
Did God say, “Dallas, you can’t take care of 1500 of my children so I will send you 14,000, maybe 25,000, how about 50,000 to open your hearts, to teach you compassion…to teach you love”?
Did God say, “Dallas, you are not going to fight anymore over where the 24/7 homeless facility is located, with its disgraceful 90 beds, with its disgraceful 3 year to open date, with the disgraceful “Heart of Dallas” efforts against it (“Heartless” is more like it). Reunion Arena today, and for the foreseeable future, is Dallas’ 24/7 Homeless intake facility.”
I asked recently in one of my mass emails, “Why can’t Dallas Street Homeless stay at Reunion Arena?” Jody Dean, Ron Chapman’s hand picked replacement at KLUV radio had this to say, “Rich, quite honestly, helping folks who will probably leave is about meeting our need. Helping people who probably won't go away is about meeting their need. Which is why we brandish our open doors for the world to see, but close them when no one is looking.”
For over three years Dallas has disgraced itself, has mired itself in the Millennium long battle of Mercantilism vs. Humanity. In this time Dallas, recognizing that it has a homeless problem, and that this homeless problem is bad for downtown economic development, has done nothing but make the problem worse. From passing the Begging Ban, to passing the Anti-Shopping Cart Ban, to dictating where the Homeless should be fed, to hiding the truth from voters that 5 cents a day would cover the street homeless cost and we spend less than a penny each a day…all has brought Dallas to disgrace, division, and a growing and angry Homeless population, and a growing and angry electorate. Desperate people do desperate things.
What’s the cause of this quagmire? Heartlessness and greed. Sherry Jacobson, in Monday’s Dallas Morning News, stated, “When Dallas Mayor Laura Miller announced Saturday that Dallas couldn’t handle any more evacuees, she couldn’t have known that local churches, businesses, and individuals would show-up on their own to help out the government.” Why couldn’t Mayor Miller know people’s hearts? Because Mayor Miller is not “of” We the People.” Mayor Miller is of the elite, and has little heart for those in need. Today, a few thousand homeless people are being taken care of in Reunion Arena and in Dallas Convention Center. “We could do this for a long time, but we don’t want to,” Mayor Miller stated on CBS 11 News. Who is “We” Mayor Miller? This is our Mayor’s response to Dallas opening it’s heart?
What happened in Dallas this last week was and is a miracle for Dallas. Two very good things happened. First, it showed conclusively Miller and Co. for the heartless “Mercantiles” that they are. Second, we, as a city, have found our heart and our 24/7 Homeless intake facility, and our future is looking brighter, much brighter.
In conclusion, mirror mirror on the wall who’s the wickedess at Dallas City Hall? Mayor Miller of course, and Councilman Mitch Rasansky.
The day of reckoning is at hand.
God Bless Dallas, Mary Suhm and City Staff, and the City Council for the work you do for We the People.
Sincerely,
Rich Sheridan
