That doesn't surprize me. Knowingly or not groups are used to gather intel and, right, start riots. Anarchists were the only protesters that got out of line in Seattle. In fact one small group of troublemakers was used as an excuse for the mayor and police chief to suspend the constitution citywide. City council hearings were jammed with citizens waiting their turn to complain about being illegally arrested and subjected to tortures like finger twisting, or a face covered by CS burning with no access to water. It was illegal to wear a slogan button or have a protest sign, or bandana. Cops indiscrimanitely gassed peaceable assemblies, even a labor union protesting losing jobs to China. Atrocities were caught on film like a cop kicking a girl protest medic in the back from behind and breaking ribs, and girls watching the protest in a car getting soaked with chemical agent. Think twice about accepting the suspension of the Bill of Rights by the Patriot Acts & 1947 National Security Act (invalid by 10th Amendment). Legal actions in the aftermath were futile because there was no constitution or rights, it was a Scot-free police riot. I'm not anti-gov, I'm anti-unconstitutionality.
