As victims of Hurricane Charley's aftermath, we know many who need assistance right now and in the months to come. So many have lost all the possessions they had, and they have no insurance. Many have not had a hot meal since Friday, August 13. Others, especially in rural areas, are without electricity and it will be many weeks before power will be restored.

It is easiest and more efficient for us to accept donations rather than shipped goods in order to meet the specific needs of each family. We have now arranged with a very reputable church and charitable organization to assist us in this. Living Light Ministries has been an IRS 501(c)(3) charity since 1985, so any donations or gifts are tax deductible. They accept only private donations, do not solicit to the public, and do not accept any government funding. So far, they have backed our efforts 100% by exhausting their emergency fund to help us buy electric generators and food.

Our small retired Veterans group has agreed to volunteer our time, so your donation will not be paying for "administrative" costs or other nonsense.
