It would be nice if these Texas Guard Troops were being deployed along the Texas Border to prevent the invasion of illegal aliens. However, I don't know why they are being deployed. The interviewee states that they will be deployed Nov. 1, 2004 and that they are being trained to handcuff, round-up, police escort of prisoners and are for the first time being trained and "armed" for their duties.

It would be nice to know whether or not other State Guards are being mobilized or trained for a similar in State deployment.
