Since the beginning, over here in Europe we had more freedom to speak out. Mayra Publications was the first Publising House that published a book about the 9/11 attacks in 2002 in Germany. INTRODUCTION
It would appear that there are still people who think it is possible that al-Qaeda terrorists carried out the attacks that took place on September 11th, 2001 on the World Trade Center in New York and on the Pentagon in Washington. In this book, the author - known for his extensive background research - presents a large number of remarkable facts that paint a picture of what happened that is very different from the official version. Ìn a compelling way he disproves the official version of the attacks on September 11. Where others merely asked questions and had doubts, the author for the first time develops a completely different version of the events - a scenario that in itself is even more frightening than the official tale of what happened. The disastrous events that took place on September 11 continue to be a series of contradictions. To this day, uncertainties, mysteries and numerous questions surrounding the attacks remain without an official answer. And to this day, it is unclear whether it was indeed a terrorist attack that took place. Have Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda really been capable of mounting such a large-scale operation? In light of the nature and scale of the attacks it is clear that behind these perfectly coordinated attacks lies an even more detailed preparation. Both technically and logistically the attacks cannot possibly match the statements that were issued by the official authorities.
In this book the collected facts are used to demonstrate that certain circles in the United States were involved in the events that took place on September 11. The author used sources and well-documented and verified insider information that were never published before to show that George W. Bush and other important actors within the American administration knew about the attacks before they took place. The American Intelligence community had received numerous and credible warnings that indicated that there would be an attack on American soil. Various agents with the FBI, the CIA and other services had already warned about an imminent terrorist attack. The main targets would be buildings in Washington and New York, and the attacks would most likely take place in the middle of September.
Between January and July, 2001, the intelligence communities Presented George Bush with at least 40 possible terrorist threats. However, the President and other leading members of his administration blocked any information and investigations. Before September 11, Bush and his administration systematically blocked the investigation and detection of possible terrorists. Investigations were continuously stopped by the authorities, which provoked anger on the part of the agents. People working in the intelligence community complained about the restraints on their operations. A press release from United Press International (UPI) stated: “The government has forbidden policemen and women who are investigating September 11 to openly ask questions about whether the President and other officials had been warned of terrorist attacks.”
David Schippers worked as a lawyer for the Republicans in the Justice committee of the House of Representatives, among other things during Bill Clinton’s impeachment proceedings. Two days after the attacks took place Schippers stated that he had been warned six weeks earlier by FBI agents, who had not only mentioned the date the attack would take place, but also their targets. He said that the agents had come to him because FBI headquarters had blocked their investigation and had threatened to prosecute them in case they went public with the information they had. The information about the attacks had been known by many within the FBI for quite some time. They asked if Schippers would be able to use his influence in government circles to prevent the attacks. Despite the high regard in which Schippers was held, his telephone calls to Attorney General Ashcroft remained unanswered .
It is possible to determine that some government members not only sabotaged attempts to prevent the attacks from taking place, but also that those responsible were protected. Suspected terrorists were not monitored or detained. Bush did not respond to repeated warnings about the plans for an attack, he made evidence disappear and manipulation the official media. The FBI and CIA could do nothing because certain persons at the highest level prevented them from doing their job.
George W. Bush also resisted the creation of an investigation committee into September 11. His government tried to prevent the creation of such a committee for as long as they could, and only agreed to provide the requested document and witnesses when they were forced to do so. When the committee presented its conclusions, George Bush and his administration could let out a sigh of relief. The 567 pages worth of findings of the independent committee responsible for investigating the terrorist attacks was published on July 22nd, 2004. It contains a great deal of criticism of the Bush administration and on the performance of the intelligence and police services, but puts the blame with incompetence and mismanagement. Time and again the committee confirms that the security services and the Bush administration have acted with the best intentions and to the best of their ability. As far as the Bush administration is concerned, the committee praised the invasion of Afghanistan and the fall of the Taliban regime. It had remarkably little to say about the reasons for the war in Iraq.
It was, of course, to be expected that the investigation of the so-called ‘independent’ committee would lead to nothing. The term ‘independent’ itself is enough to arouse suspicion. The committee included several nototious defenders of American imperialism. All ten of its members support America’s claim to world domination and many of them are members of influential think-tanks that set the tone in American politics.
The members of the committee used two important criteria. To begin with, they wanted to make sure that the main state institutions, the Defense Department, the Secret Services and the Presidency would not be damaged. Secondly, they wanted to keep as much information as possible concerning the backgrounds of the attacks on September 11 secret, to maintain the aura of credibility and to keep public opinion and the relatives of the victims satisfied.
It is remarkable that the committee failed to ask the most important question, namely: “Who benefited?” The group that benefited from the disaster of September included not only the Bush administration and its global politics of power, but also and above all multinational companies, the arms industry and the oil companies.
The most important questions that emerge as a result of September 11 are: was this ‘merely’ negligence on the part of the Bush administration, or was a deliberate decision made to allow a terrorist attack to take place on American soil. Is it possible that those in power in Washington have planned these terrorist atrocities and that they were supported by Bush and his closest associates, in order for them to have an excuse to carry out the war in Central Asia and the Middel East which they had been planning for a long time? High secturity officials from the Bush and Clinton administrations have comfirmed that prior to September 11 there was insufficient public support for an intervention in the Middle East and Central Asia. It was only after the attacks of 9/11 that those actions became politically viable. Was a terrorist attack designed to create the conditions that would allow those in power to realise their goal of conquering Afghanistan and Iraq and establishing hegemony by the United States in the Persian Gulf region – the region with the largest oil reserves in the world? Is it possible that the attacks of 9/11 were carried out with the help and support of the Bush administration?
The abundant evidence implies that the so-called terrorists were double agents. Stanley Hilton is not only a political scientist, but also a very successful and respected lawyer. He was the chief of staff of the Republican Senator Bob Dole. In an interview on September 10th, 2004, Hilton claimed that “the nineteen Arab terrorists are on the payroll of the FBI and CIA. Their sole purpose was to cover those who were truly respobsible and their mission was to lay a trail that led to Islam.” Did the so-called al-Qaeda terrorists work for the American intelligence services? And if that is the case, are the members of al-Qaeda, including Osama bin Laden, aware of that?
In virtually all aspects of life we cannot ignore the lie. Politics is no exception! Former President Richard Nixon once confessed: “There is a lot of hypocrisy … in political life. Without this hypocrisy it is impossible to attain this office and to hold on to it.” In view of the scandals that reduced his time in office nobody will doubt that he knew what he was talking about.
Worldwide ever more scandals see the light of day in which political leaders are involved. Important politicians lie to the public and even to their own colleagues. Time and time again they appear on TV to deny any connection whatsoever with scandals, while at the same time being deeply involved. Lies, distortions and manipulation also are staple elements of Washington politics. One of the aims of these official lies is, for instance, to cover up the deep chasm between the interests of the Ruling Elite and those of the masses.
Who determine the political agenda? Who control the power behind the government? This book addresses many of these unanswered questions and unequivocal contradictions.
