Welcome to the future ! Human RFID chips are here. They are being touted as a device for keeping our children safe from predators and for use by doctors to access our medical records. A version of this technology is already being used in credit cards, jeans, tires and perhaps US passports. Walmart is pushing the technology as a means of more effective inventory control. What are the wider implications ?
In the current climate of secrecy and deception from our government can this be seen as another step that is creeping us toward a brand of neo-fascism reminiscient of Orwell. Can we trust our government not to abuse the technology ? I suspect you already know the answer to that question.
