Rumsfeld’s words yesterday on civil war:
“Does that constitute a civil war? I guess you can decide for your yourself. And we can all go to the dictionary and decide what you want to call something.” Taking his advice, we did go to the dictionary.
He adds, “It certainly isn't like our Civil War.” Apparently he needs to see Generals Grant and Lee duke it out in Baghdad to believe it’s real.
The official military report backs up exactly what John Murtha said happened in Haditha. A f’n cold blooded massacre thanks to bad leadership coupled with the stress of being over-deployed, under-equipped and on an unclear mission. The same seems to be the case in Samarra.
Are our troops being order to “kill all military aged men?”
By the way, Murtha is being sued for speaking up, but he takes it in stride.
Over two thirds of Army Guard units aren’t combat ready.
