John, I've read a considerable amount of what you have written in the past, finding it generally agreeable to my own perceptions. However, this beautiful universe that you describe is so full of laws, such as gravity, that never violate the Author's (God's) will. To equate the balance required for our universe to maintain equilibrium to an accident of gargantuan proportion, is like saying that a tornado could hit a junk yard and build a space shuttle.

I can't speak for the various religions, as I do not belong to a religion, I belong to Christ. I can't go to a church because you're correct when you speak of the merchandise they make of people's souls. You aren't alone in this assessment, the Bible says it quite succinctly as well.

I am not a religious man, I am a Christian that avoids religion like the plague, because that's what destroys God's Word and the TRUTH within it.

Paul Tillich has said that to attempt to define God is as blasphemous as to deny him. I can agree with him, but not with you. And this talk of evolution is closer to the neurosis you fear then a belief in God.

John, who built the Great Pyramid ? Who can build it today ? No one on this earth has the ability to build an exact copy of the pyramid, locate it at true north without using GPS Satellites, cut and move the tremendous blocks of stone and cement them leaving less than 1/100th of an inch gap the length of the stone, some 35'. Did a cave dweller build the pyramid ? And why has every pyramid built since that first one been inferior ? Reverse evolution ?

I wouldn't argue that there aren't evolutionary elements present upon the earth because that would be ignorant to do. However, evolution doesn't explain the human condition. Evolution profers the "survival of the fittest" ... and George W. Bush and Co. are a fine example of that concept.

John, I agree that an element of mankind has manipulated the masses through religion, greed and patriotism to foment wars, but blaming God isn't going to rid the world of the problem, when the problem is US.
