Washington: Where Are You Now?

Today as I milled around my apartment, cleaning up the mess that I made, I was pondering the dream that I had last night. I had a dream about the American Revolution. It was a strange dream as I'd never in my life dreamt of the American Revolution. In this dream I had confronted one of my neighbors who had been harboring a British Spy who had been informing the Red Coats on the movements, and sizes of the groups of Minutemen. I was so angry, outraged that my neighbor had been a traitor, all the while teaching his own son how to be an even bigger traitor.

This dream isn't some latent memory from a previous life, but it surely does have relevance today. At first I chalked it up to being just a dream, and as the day progressed, the angrier I became. As I watched the news, and saw the web's daily spewing of propaganda, I realized that there is no George Washington in my lifetime. There is no-one who would be that leader, who would bring freedom back to America, and instill the fear of God in the people who would destroy us.

George Washington was the leader of all time. He was a larger than life man, whose words, deeds and stature commanded respect, not only from the people of this nation, but from the leaderships of other lands. King George feared charismatic leaders, and a population of independent minded people. This is why he sent troops here to get the people of this nation to fear retribution, and fear reprisal from the British Empire.

As it would turn out, George Washington and his other equally famous cohorts had a dream, and a plan to create a FREE nation. One where anyone, no matter where they came from, could live freely by their deeds, words and hands. They created a land where there was no taxation without representation. People had the right to choose their destinies. People could speak freely. People had the right to be secure in their homes, their personal effects, and their bodies. People had the right to defend their nation as they saw fit. People had the right to be armed with equal firepower as their government, as sometimes a government, when it becomes to oppressive needs redress.

How can you trust a government who looks upon an armed citizenry with suspicion? How can you trust a government whose objective is to disarm the people? How can you trust a government who goes after the militias of each state, knowing full well that they are mandated by the very Constitution that they have sworn to protect and uphold? You can't trust ANYONE in government.

I look out my window today, and think to myself, where is the George Washington of my generation? Where is that leader of the people who will return this country to a land of the free, and the home of the brave? Where is that leader who will remove from our sight the spectre of oppression, authoritarianism, and worst of all a state of slavery for the American People?

Where are you now George Washington? Where have you gone?...

How is it that the nation you founded managed to lose its way, and become the very thing that you fought a revolution against? In 1776, our nation was a land that was governed by an elected body of people who were citizen legislators. They worked alongside the people they represented. It was this way for a very long time, until the Civil War. It was shortly after that, that we saw career politicians that did nothing but line their pockets with the money grifted from the elites. Nothing has changed in that regard, all of the people we have in office are grifters, liars, swindlers, and they have the gall to demand that we address them in correspondence as The Honorable. Ha.

When you have senators voting themselves pay raises, Congressmen doing the same, activist judges legislating from the bench, giving power to those who would steal private property, out of control law enforcement agencies violating the 4th amendment with abandon, an Internal Revenue Service whose existence goes against the very tenet of the Constitution, how can you believe in American Government as it is today? How can you trust a government that can create money out of thin air, using the so called Federal Reserve, and then yet demands that we the people pay out of our wages, money that they did not earn? How can you trust a government who has done so much to destroy Freedom and Prosperity in a nation that once was the only true free land?

How can you trust people to protect your country, when the people who you pay to represent you, actually represent Non-Government Agents, corporations, and bodies whose interest are wide open borders, rampant illegal immigration, and the balkanization of America? How can you trust a government whose sole aim, is to encroach further and further into your homes, your lives, your relationships, your business, all the while destroying your freedom along the way? How can you trust people who are willing to take away those things that are given to you by God, and telling you that it's for your own good, or even more insidious, your children?

How can you trust a government that has two standards of law, One for the common man, and another for the rich, the powerful, and the connected? How can you trust a government whose leaders are never held accountable for their transgressions or worse, THEIR DERELICTION OF DUTY AND INCOMPETENCE? The common man would be imprisoned or worse for lesser crimes than those committed by their elite counterparts. How can you trust a government whose judiciary oversteps its bounds at every turn? How can you trust a government that has done more to turn our nation into a police state, than a free society? Where was the government intervention when it came to the creation of this litigious society? More importantly, where were the sensibilities of the common citizen? Why did we allow it to go this far?

Our nation, our people get the government that they deserve. But this? Do we deserve THIS???

Where is George Washington? Where are you George? Where is your pal Thomas Jefferson? Where is Benjamin Franklin? Where is Alexander Hamilton? Where are the rest of the framers of our illustrious Constitution? Where are the people who founded this nation, and why are there no counterparts to them today? Where are those whose souls embody those things that created this country? Where are those souls whose spirits cry out for freedom, and justice for all?

They are dead and buried in a land that no longer exists. They are gone from us, and speak to us no more. As God has turned his back on America, so have these great men who took a savage land, and turned into the greatest, and most freedom loving nation on this Earth. Today, as we all go out and celebrate our Co-Dependence Day, think about our founding fathers and their divine inspiration that drove them to being free men, in an oppressive world. Think about what they sacrificed, what we gained from their acts of defiance. The deliberate and conscious decision to not be oppressed by a ruler who had simply lost touch with them.

Then think on this. The Revolution of that notion, that thought, came about because there was a ONE percent tax on tea. Think about that, as you're filling up your car. Think about it when you go to the store today to buy your last minute items for your celebration. Think about how much it costs you every day to live in this country, and where that money goes, and then keep telling yourself, you're free.

Nothing and no-one is free in America anymore. Your lands are not your own. Your car is not your own. Your water, your air, nothing is free, everything comes at a price, and for what? So people who are unworthy of your trust, and faith, can sit in their mansions in Washington, eating steaks and lobster, while you celebrate your freedom with hotdogs and hamburgers. I imagine our founding fathers would look at this situation and feel humiliated. Knowing full well what they sacrificed for, to see that the common American has devolved into what would be for them, their common village idiot.

The Founding Fathers, if they were alive today, would see some miraculous things in the innovative people of America, but all of that awe, and admiration would be cast aside, as everything they fought and died for is GONE. Think about their colossal waste of time and effort, as you drink your beer, eat your burgers, sit in your lawn chairs, and watch the local fireworks displays.

I for one will not be watching the fireworks tonight. I have better things to do, than lie to myself. But hey, don't let me stop the rest of the people of this nation from lying to itself. It's after all, still a free country right?
