Criminals or terrorists are able to buy police or military electronic weapons and related technology from many different sources. There is a strong indication that criminals are using these devices or weapons against innocent civilians, including many patriotic Americans. Congress should pass legislation that regulates the availability and misuse of these weapons, which improves national security.

Federal lawmakers in dozens of offices recently responded to our letters about the misuse of electronic weapons. Meetings were then scheduled with Congress and our group of professionals, which includes a retired FBI Senior Special Agent In Charge, a scientist, and a Ph.D.

One important topic that we discussed was the need for Congress to repeal two United States Code laws that authorize officers or agents to experiment or test chemical agents, biological agents, or electronic equipment on a civilian population for any law enforcement purpose.

Laws of this nature may encourage government employees to engage in misconduct. Many recent news stories help to show why there is a clear need for congressional oversight and a civilian review board.

Proposed legislation and new ideas that we have written on several topics will also be presented to Congress in June. This important legislation helps to improve human rights, civil rights, and privacy rights for many Americans. Protecting the police, military, or defenseless civilians from criminals or terrorists who misuse electronic weapons and related technology also strengthens Homeland Security.

Please join us at the following two news events in Washington D.C.
