THE PENTAGON STORY UNFOLDS
Big news. Air America talk show host, Randi Rhodes,
spent 10 minutes or so yesterday afternoon talking
about the Pentagon footage of the phantom object
which should raise more doubt than certainty. She
gave incredible coverage of many aspects of the 9/11
deception. She even posted the video on her site at

are already a lot of posts on her message board.
Here's what Mike Malloy, also of Air America, had to
say:
Well, there you have it, Truthseekers. In response
to a lawsuit filed by the right-wing crazies at
Judicial Watch, the right-wing crazies at the
Department of Defense have released a video showing
the moment of impact as a United Airlines jet slams
into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Pardon me
while I take a tissue to my glasses and look at this
“video” again.
Uh-huh. Indeed. A commercial jet flying, um, what?
twenty inches off the ground, maybe? Zips into the
Pentagon. Boom. Big ball o’ fire. According to
Judicial Watch’s website, the right-wing
organization originally filed a Freedom of
Information Act request on December 15, 2004,
seeking all records pertaining to September 11,
2001, camera recordings of the Pentagon attack from
the Sheraton National Hotel, the Nexcomm/Citgo gas
station, Pentagon security cameras and the Virginia
Department of Transportation. The Department of
Defense admitted in a January 26, 2005, letter that
it possessed a videotape responsive to Judicial
Watch's request. However, the Pentagon refused to
release the videotape because it was, "part of an
ongoing investigation involving Zacarias Moussaoui."
Judicial Watch filed a lawsuit on February 22, 2006,
arguing that there was "no legal basis" for the
Defense Department's refusal to release the tape.
"We fought hard to obtain this video because we felt
that it was very important to complete the public
record with respect to the terrorist attacks of
September 11," said Judicial Watch President Tom
Fitton. "Finally, we hope that this video will put
to rest the conspiracy theories involving American
Airlines Flight 77. As always, our prayers remain
with all those who suffered as a result of those
murderous attacks." Perfect. The crazies at the
Pentagon release to the crazies at Judicial Watch a
“video” that, um, clearly shows . . . what?
The right-wing crazy who heads Judicial Watch, Tom
Fitton, says he hopes this puts to rest all the
goofy conspiracy theories, you know, the ones that
include the insistence it was not a commercial jet
that slammed into the Pentagon; the theories that
say the awful events that day were part of a larger
situation having nothing to do with what
instantaneously became the official story, the story
we all are to accept without doubt, without
question. Because, you know, the Bush Crime Family
would never, ever lie. All those honorable people
who continue to infest the executive branch of the
US Government would never, ever tell us something
that wasn't true; would never, ever try to
manipulate us into, oh, what? a war maybe? Into
believing a story involving the utter defeat of the
most sophisticated, militarized society in the
history of mankind by nineteen guys with
box-cutters?
Well, there you have it. The video. The one showing
the commercial jet slamming into the Pentagon. On
September 11, 2001. We can all go home now. The
movie’s over.

Next, here are a few more talking points in addition
to the ones I sent Tuesday.
The DOD only release a 3-minute segment of one
video, the one from which they had released a series
of frames long ago. Why only this one video? The
Pentagon is among the best-protected buildings on
the planet. Is the DOD suggesting that only one
single c/c camera caught the crash? There must be
dozens, possibly hundreds, of cameras around the
Pentagon. Where are the tapes from those cameras?
The FBI confiscated the tapes from the gas station,
hotel, etc. Why have those tapes not been released
if they show the same "facts" of the crash?
After nearly 5 years, how are we to believe anything
the government shows hasn't been doctored?
Why was this lousy piece of evidence so necessary
for the Moussaoui trial, rather than footage of the
towers collapsing? Could it be that was just a ruse
because they knew the Pentagon video undermines
their story and they wanted to withhold it as long
as they could?
All of these things--the fact that we see no 70 foot
high tail, no 40 foot in diameter fuselage but we do
see a contrail--add up to proof that a plane DID NOT
STRIKE THE PENTAGON.
The shoe is now on the other foot. Only a conspiracy
theory nut job could insist that this video is
evidence of a plane striking the Pentagon. I would
ask such an individual--where is the plane? Why is
there that white streak? And wait for the answer.
Which would not come. Because there is no reasonable
explanation other than to say it was a
missile--which does leave a contrail. Because like
the Space Shuttle or any other rocket motor
propelled device, missiles DO leave contrails.
And please. Tell me why you did not have a Pentagon
spokesman to explain where the plane is in the tape.
That's the reason they're showing it, putatively, to
show the plane hitting the Pentagon. Where is Colin
Powell with his pointer? Where's the Pentagon expert
to circle the "nose cone" or whatever piece of the
plane they claim to have captured on film?

I urge all to write to newspaper editors, post on
blogs, call in to talk shows, and email their lists
while this story is hot.
Lastly, I got a call last week from someone in
Queens who complained that someone placed flyers on
windshields in his neighborhood. He claimed this was
illegal and could result in hefty fines. So,
although I wish we could do this, let's refrain from
the windshield approach. I think slipping a flyer
under someone's door is cool, since restaurants do
this with menus all the time.

video as part of its investigation. It may be the

that normally would be under 24-hour security
