WWII and the Iraq War

Lately, I’ve been hearing from Joe Scarborough that WWII is just like the Iraq War. He and Tom Brokaw is heading to Normandy, France to celebrate that battle in a 60th year anniversary and rightfully so. The problem is that they are using that battle as an excuse to justify the Iraq War and claim that it’s similar to WWII especially the neo-con Scarborough. Iraq is no way in comparison to WWII.

First, Japan attacked us in December 1941 and Nazi Germany declared war in America. America asked Congress for war immediately afterwards and Congress passed a Declaration of War to fight against Tojo’s tyranny and Hitler’s fascism. We won. Iraq is totally different. Iraq never attacked America in 9/11, the USA government did.

Iraq wasn’t expanding its borders in attempting to manufacture an empire, the Nazis and the nation of Japan were. Iraq had no massive quantities of WMDS, no Congressional declaration of war but a resolution giving George W. Bush a blank check to fight, no conclusive ties to al-Qaeda, no threat to our nation, and that makes the case to have no illegal war inside Iraq.

As for Iraq, yes, Saddam is a brutal dictator and he must be held into account in a war-crimes tribunal, but a lot of the deaths were also caused by the United Nations/United States sanctions and embargo as well.

Also, America is the first nation to give Saddam Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Iran/Iraq war of the 1980’s. Donald Rumsfeld shook Hussein’s hand in 1983 and he’s not up for charges for giving a madman WMDS? Even as early as 1959, Saddam worked with the CIA to help assasination Iraqi leader Qasim in a coup, but failed until 1963. Joe Scarborough is a neo-con though that has the most hope to change. I hope to God that he wakes up.

I support the troops, but supporting the troops isn’t putting them in harms way neither giving them lame reasons to fight, either lying to them on the cost, blood, sweat, and tears to do their duty. The majority of the troops are good and now many of the military are just honorably going again the extremist policies of Bush.

I think we have no choice, but to reconstruct Iraq now since we bombed it (we have to own our responsibility) and we must need other foreign nations to help us out. Assistance is important and the U.S. must never use nation building again unless for a legitimate reason or by the consent of the people in those nations.

How dare the neo-cons use the memory of World War hero to justify an immoral war and try to justify torture against human beings most of whom were never involved in any terrorist activities I might add. Are we a nation so driven by brutality, that we accept it? Torture in Abu Ghraib and the death of Nick Berg are wrong and deplorable indeed.

I hope not. We will have to be warriors for the truth and apt to fight for justice. On the 9/11 Commission hearing around 10 am. today, I honor the hecklers speaking their minds to Rudy Guilani making us to be inspired to present the truth of what transpired on that terrible day. A lot of its members are part of the Globalist Council of Foreign Relations.

A man who loves mercury, flouride in our air and streams, death and destruction to proceed without end, innocent unborn life consumed, our inherit God-given right to self-defense abolished, United Nations agreeing, and a continual liars on serious matters is not a President I'll go along with. Kerry is nearly the same as Bush and both men are Bonesmen.
