Below is my recent correspondence with a well-connected, informed conspiracy theorist about the OKC bombing. Please note his comments about the "elephant in the living room," and my response. Please make sure that the conference Wednesday makes it crystal clear what OKC's elephant in the living room is. No one should leave the conference without knowing what this one thing is. Too many peripheral questions, and too many rabbit trails, will dilute your effectiveness. Reach a tipping point on this one thing.

Briefly, if you have time, please let me know what you think the elephant is.

Thanks!

====================================

My guess is that it is the explosion itself. What really caused it, and who did it? General Partin and many others seem to believe there is no way an ANFO device could have caused that kind of damage. The seismograph reports show multiple explosions, Eye witnesses / victims felt a "rumble" beneath about 8 seconds prior to the big bang. The deaths of Terry Yeakey, Dr. Chumley and others seem to be to hush up the discovery of un-exploded devices or associated paraphernalia on site. The questions about lack of FBI and BATF personnel (and their kids in the day care center), John Does 2 & 3 and others are relevant, but lack, in my opinion, the centrality of the explosion itself.

I will forward this to those in know who are more familiar with the case and get their views.

With every big conspiracy, in the cover-up stage, there is an elkephant in the living room: one undeniable fact that completely refutes the official account, but which the establishment press will not discuss.

In 9/11, it's the collapse of building 7.

In the JFK assassination, it's the Zapruder film: Kennedy's head snaps backward.

The goal of a good conspiracy theorist is to identify this elephant and then ride it to the theory's conclusion.

 What is it in OKC?

Subject: Major questions on the official story

In a series of conversations with a close friend, the central question concerning whether the official stories on the OKC bombing and 9-11 are shams, is how could such a massive conspiracy or cover-up take place when many people would have to know, and the media is so ready to bring someone down (especially in the opposition political party)? A combination of high level conspirators, compartmentalization, intimidation, "suicides," social rewards, and public blindness (as well as bought-off media celebrities) seems to be at work. There is a great article attached on the sorry state of awareness among the public attached, and why that is resulting in a loss of American freedom.

With all the loose ends and holes in the 9-11 story, the biggest question is "why did WTC 7 collapse like a controlled implosion in the late afternoon of 9-11?" Most people I talk to are totally unaware that this 47-story building, with two small upper floor fires, a block away from WTC 1 & 2 collapsed in ten seconds in the same pancake fashion as the two larger buildings.

One, BIG, UNANSWERED QUESTION should be sufficient to punch holes in the official story, but often it is not.

With the 10th anniversary of the OKC bombing tomorrow, interest is again rising in this event. Although the 9-11 attacks largely put this to bed, big questions remain unanswered. What follows is the letter to my friend:
 = = = = = = = =
You wonder how massive crimes can occur in the open and the perpetrators get away with it/

There are a number of contributing factors. You remember the murder of Vince Foster. How did they get away with it when there was so much evidence to the contrary? I remember you believe he was murdered. Few Democrats believe that, or at least not publicly. Clinton is their guy. The same thing operates with Republicans and "their guy." They'll bend over backwards to justify or rationalize all kinds of lying and criminal actions.

(I still maintain that if Clinton had done the very things that Bush has done, Republicans would be all over him. But because they are so wedded to him, they rationalize, justify and deny.)

The main psychological mechanism is below. More people than I can count have said they won't even consider alternate scenarios to the OKC bombing and 9-11 because of the implications. So much for intellectual integrity and moral courage:

“Most people prefer to believe that their leaders are just and fair, even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen acknowledges that the government under which he lives is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one’s self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face that choice. Hence, most propaganda is not designed to fool the critical thinker but only to give moral cowards an excuse not to think at all.” - Michael Rivero

If you are really intent on understanding OKC bombing, listen to the following interview with the ex-wife of office Terry Yeakey, whose "suicide" is reminiscent of Vince Foster's.

 WHO KILLED TERRY YEAKEY?
Only a couple of hours into the rescue, Sgt. Terrence Yeakey became
painfully aware of something disturbing. Did he somehow figure out that the
building had been blown from the inside and that the news reports were
baloney? Did he overhear a strange conversation from some of the many ATF
agents who were on the scene sooner than they should have been? Whatever it
was, Terry was upset. He called his wife that morning crying - the big ol'
Teddy Bear of a guy was crying - and saying repeatedly, "It's not true. It's
not what they are saying. It didn't happen that way." Terry Yeakey may have
been the first to discover the sham.
