Good Morning!
A fellow called this morning, and I missed it. I'll try to contact him
this afternoon when I get back from some errands. He mentioned
something about a tax matter.
I appreciate the thought. As additional matters come to mind in this
area, email may be some better for getting the information to me than
the phone. Here's the reality I'm working with at present. I've got
one petition for cert in the Supreme Court (which is new enough that we
don't know yet whether they want to take the case), appeals in the 5th,
8th, 9th and 11th Circuits, and still some additional trial matters in
the Tax Court. There are a few administrative matters, as well.
Typically, where the person getting in touch needs to call, s/he needs
to share with me all of everything about everything, and while I enjoy
the exchange of thoughts, time just doesn't permit that right now like
it has in times past. Those who can communicate in written form are
more likely to limit their ideas to the key points, focusing on the
general matter at hand. So, if there's a way they can send an email or
a letter, that would be considerably more time efficient on this end.
Related to this, some of the matters will be resolved by the appellate
courts in the next 6 to 9 months (he says hopefully), and perhaps also
by the Supreme Court within the next year (12 months). With those
foundational points established, I very much hope to shift focus away
from litigation matters and toward commercial matters. In general,
there's no way we're going to sue our way out of this present problem.
And, until the legitimate marketplace is reestablished, we're basically
pissing in the wind, anyway. What "everyone" presumes to be Law isn't
Law at all. It's "law," i.e., the opportunity to make a deal. So,
until we can get a different marketplace, "on the land," reestablished,
we're simply continuing to play a game that is specifically designed for
us to lose, no matter what else happens.
Ultimately, we've got to get the land back, and toward that end, I
expect to invest a great many hours. To get the land back is key to
getting back to a legitimate marketplace. And, once the economic
activity occurs "on the land," rather than in a place called "this
state," the bulk of that which vexes us will evaporate. We'll have a
very different set of problems, but they'll be more along the intuitive
lines rather than the very foreign lines we're dealing with today.
I do appreciate the thought, and as tax-related matters come up, those
who would like to get in touch with me via email are more likely to
"find" me than those who need to talk via phone. As matters develop and
are worth noting, I'll definitely keep you posted. There are some
rather exciting opportunities in the works, another one of which I hope
to be able to activate before the end of this month.
Next week, there's a group of us meeting in OKC. If you happen to be
able to make it, or to send a representative, I look forward to the meeting.
Harmon
P.S. I have earthlink's most elaborate "spaminator" on this particular
email address. So, it may be that a better email address to have them
use is the one for the book: wtpvb@earthlink.net
Keep up the GREAT work. VERY exciting development with the Minutemen!!
Maybe they'll be in Texas, next.

"Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others. . .they send forth a ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."
- Robert F. Kennedy
